Magic and Wonder end of 2026

Anyone heard any rumours of where these ship will be headed end of 2026?

In 2025 wonder heads for australia and it starts making the trip from vancouver to australia via hawaii in second half of september. However, in late september 2026 the Wonder is staying in Vancouver and not going to Hawaii. We dont know what happens in October yet obviously.

The Magic is in Galveston in September 2025 but in the first half of September 2026 it will be in Vancouver just like the Wonder. However, there are no currently scheduled trips for the Magic in the second half of september 2026 like there is for the Wonder. Do we think the Magic is now headed for Australia and will move to Hawaii in second half of September 2026 just like the Wonder is in 2025? Is this being kept a secret and this is why there are no late september bookings for the Magic? Or was that the plan and its now possibly being shelved because of poor ship bookings in Australia and the Magic will be going somewhere else new but they dont know where yet? Perhaps its doing california in Winter of 2026? Or will it just go all the way back to Galveston from Vancouver?

And what of the wonder in late 2026 if its hanging around in Vancouver longer? Where does it go once Vancouver becomes too cold.

I'm just worried now that the Magic is headed to the west coast she won't be back to the east coast. I'm afraid retirement is looming due to her age and I have to figure out one more cruise on her because my son has yet to go on her and wants to sail on each ship!

Especially with the next class of ships to be smaller than the Dream class. Makes me happy that we are booked on the Magic next year. I'd like to try all of the ships too!

Oh my goodness yes! The timing of those is right in line with the time that they would most likely be looking to retire the Magic/Wonder I would think since the Magic will be 30 in 2028! I keep going back and forth with the Magic to Mexico in '26 or the Destiny to the Bahamas yet again based on what works best for our schedules...

Unfortunately I think it's the beginning of the end for both the Magic and Wonder. They'll be stationed out West for the remainder of their times in service.

I'm hoping the Magic comes down under. DCL may be wanting to see how Aussies and Kiwis respond to a "new" ship since most of the ... hardcore Disney fans have probably now sailed on the Wonder at least once.

But, it's hard to say what DCL's plans for down under are. I think they've probably overestimated the local market for the "at sea" cruises (at least at Disney's prices, which are very expensive when you factor in the weak Aussie dollar).

With DCL saying the fleet will have 13 ships by 2031, I don't think they're going away soon, even after the new ships arrive..

Disney is still keeping up maintenance on their ships and they have many more years of life in them. DCL has a brand and selling their ship to a secondary line (one that doesn’t build new ships) would not be in their interest. They would want to disquise the ship so it doesn’t look like a prior DCL ship, i.e. take out one of the funnels, ship/lifeboat color, etc. I don’t see the Magic/Wonder retiring in the near future.

I booked my first ever DCL trip for later this year, figured I'd start with the Magic. I'm excited. Eventually I want to do an Alaskan cruise.
