Moonlight magic newbie question

I have never taken advantage of this perk as a member. We are staying at the Grand Floridian villas July 12 through the 17th. There is a Moonlight Magic event July 17 my check out day will we still be eligible to attend? Thanks so much for your help.

Yes, check in and check out day count. But you'll still need to register on May 15 during the "early registration" window and you might not get a spot since it's somewhat lottery style. Just wait for the email from Disney with the link and details.

If I recall correctly, if you have a reservation that's eligible for the early registration (and your check-out day should qualify you), you'll receive an email with instructions. Those who don't have a qualifying reservation shouldn't get that email. Good luck - hope you get to enjoy it. Just be ready to get into the queue the morning of your pre-registration, and bring your patience with you!

As others noted, checkin and checkout dates count.

Last year reservation type qualifications were added as @thanxfornoticin noted.
