Just booked our flight, I really hope we make it because hubby will be annoyed to travel home on Monday if there’s no MM in store for Sunday night.

Actually, he’ll be annoyed either way, but at least if we get MM he’ll be temporarily mollified with free Mickey bars.

Same! We have only been on site for one other DVC moonlight magic and that was at typhoon Lagoon. Tons of people and more crowded than any other time I was at one of the water parks. The lines for food and ice cream were at least 20/30 minutes-not very enjoyable.

But, I am hoping that the HS event is better because of the variety of rides. And, I am not concerned with food because we grab something before we walk over from BCV.

We are staying on a bounce back at Grand Destino Tower but I also have a studio booked on the front end of our reservation to qualify for the event.

We are about 3 weeks away and no registration.

The good news is that my sister has decided to join us and I was able to add her to the room today… now we just need to get lucky with our queue number!

The "real" problem with this delay (for me anyway) is we've booked our villas and if we don't get into the event, we're already well beyond the 30-day point and if you cancelled the reservation because you didn't win the lottery, the points go into holding. That's not fair.

Is this your first Moonlight Magic event? That's nothing new, registration is ALWAYS within the 30-day window.

Does DVC offer 2 dates to register for at the same time for the Resort Guest advance window window?
For some reason ,I think I remember seeing this recently and was surprised…
I normally never have a room already booked but I think I saw this online .
Maybe it is already Sold Out ???
I am posting this because I am always wrong about figuring out the Disney Game Plan….So expect announcement today for January Registration!

Any day now they should announce the date for resort guests to attempt registration. The general registration for all eligible members (including resort guests that weren't able to secure tickets) will be later.

Not fair? I don’t know about that but it certainly is frustrating and a risk for those who book just that one night for the purpose.

One complaint I have seen related to early registration is that those local are at an advantage since they can book the night for this purpose and just cancel it if they don’t get in…

In a way, setting registration within the 31 days limits owners who will take that chance.

General registration for Oct/Nov/Dec Moonlight Magic at Animal Kingdom was Oct 8th and early registration was prior to Oct 8th, which is greater than 30-days for the Nov & December events.

Not all…the one for September 2023 at HS was well outside rhe 31 day window.

The one for HS last August was not. I don’t recall the dates of the others in 2024.

The extra one at AK that was added for Dec 2024 was more than 31 days out, but it was also the same day to register for the October one and that was within 31 days.

Maybe this is a new trend though!
