Large porthole staterooms on Magic

Can anyone suggest to me some of the large porthole staterooms on the Magic? It seems like a porthole room can be anything (one or two, small or large). I’d love one of the (almost) floor to ceiling portholes with a built in seat. Any ideas for me? I’ve been researching, but it’s slow going.

The large porthole oceanview rooms on the Magic class are on deck 2. Midship the window is larger than aft or forward. You can see the difference in this photo:

The difference isn't really all that much.

The two (small) porthole rooms are on deck 1:

Unlike the Dream class ships, the large porthole windows do not have a seat in them. There is a small ledge (about 4" wide) below the window you can perch on

The large portholes with the built in seats are only on the Dream and Fantasy. If I'm not mistaken, category 9D staterooms are the ones with the two small portholes on the Magic. Categories 9A-9C will have one large porthole. It just won't be the extra large porthole with seating.

We stayed in 2552 on the Magic. Loved it! Not a lot of noise, super close to the mid- elevator. Not to bad of a walk to the other elevators. Have done many cruises on Dream and Fantasy in the “window seat” staterooms. Happily pay extra for them. Was nervous booking on deck 2 on the Magic but would do it again in a heartbeat. Porthole was just as big and had hardly any motion or vibration.

Oh, you all are so helpful! Thank you! I think I was getting confused because I was reading reports of large portholes with seating, but also that they didn’t have built in seats. NOW I get it! I am looking at 2504 or 2004 think those would have one large porthole?

I'm not sure what you mean by "large", but those rooms have one porthole like the picture above. Those rooms are at the very forward end of the ship, so the porthole may not be the "biggest" available on Deck 2 as I believe the rooms midship on Deck 2 may have slightly bigger portholes.

Our friends were in 2500 on the Wonder and we were in 2056 midship, but I couldn't tell a difference in the size of the window. 2500 did have a bigger shelf in front of the window because of the curve of the ship.

We love deck 2 on both the Wonder and the Magic!

Yes, they would be large, but not with the seating. The extra large with seating in staterooms are on the Dream and Fantasy.

This is very helpful and makes me feel relieved! We booked 2078 midship on the Magic for this December, not really knowing how big the stateroom and porthole actually were. I’m glad to know a good choice was made!

Does anyone know if 2114 on the Magic/Wonder has the larger porthole? Thanks!

Unclear what you are asking exactly... If you look at post #2 in this very thread you will see that all of the Deck 2 oceanview rooms have one large porthole compared to Deck 1 oceanview rooms that have two small ones. The forward and aft Deck 2 OV rooms have a SLIGHTLY smaller porthole compared to midship Deck 2. I'm not sure about 2114 specifically but I think it has a normal size large porthole.

The Wish and presumably Treasure have those big portholes with seats as well. I remember walking past in Nassau and seeing a youngish girl curled up behind one and reading. It looked insanely cozy; made me think I'd rather be doing that than whatever shore excursion I was on...
