I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

Some yucky news, when I was looking at the 100k CSP offer on the Chase site I noticed the CSR upped the MSR to 5k for the standard 60k offer. So more spend required to get the same bonus. Since this isn't marked as any kind of special offer this may be the new norm. The CSP is at 5k as well but with the elevated offer this made sense. I hope to be wrong but perhaps they both remain at 5k after the promo.

Thanks. It’s just me and I am there for two separate nights leaving for the night in between. My 2nd night is booked through cap one to use my $250 credit so that stay isn’t in my Hilton App.

Doesn’t appear I can add a 2nd person at this point.
You could call Hilton and see if they can add a second guest, if the $15 is worth it. Two drinks is better than one, am I right? 😁

Looks like the 100K CSP offer is now available online! Rumor is the support links are coming 4/8. Hoping this sticks around a few weeks... I need to wait until May 1 to app.

I think the Chase policy has changed and they will NOT match an elevated SUB offer anymore, correct?

We had used support links previously when the SUB offer was less and then sent a SM asking for Chase to match the elevated SUB available publicly. If dead now, it was nice while it lasted.

There are DPs that they're matching CSP approvals since 3/13. Also recent DP of matching a support specifically.

It appears this is only affecting co branded cards. Many reports of them still matching on the CSP offer.

just read this
Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardholders will now receive a $10 monthly Lyft credit, meaning potential savings of up to $120 annually. The credit does not apply to Wait & Save, bike or scooter rides.

Sapphire Reserve cardholders will also earn 5 points per dollar spent on Lyft purchases, a decrease from their previous earning rate of 10 points per dollar through March 31.

All other Chase cards

If you carry the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, you'll earn 5 points per dollar spent on Lyft rides (for a 10.25% return based on TPG's valuations).
I was so hoping I could do like I do with AMEX and buy some Lyft Cash.

Used the card and bought some but did not receive a credit.

Tried a few days later but this time used ApplePay with the card and still no dice.

Yesterday I turned off Lyft cash and it charged my card and gave me a credit for the ride portion only. Now I’m stuck with $0.11 left in credits for this month.

This seems to be like the door dash credits have turned into that they will be issued by Lyft and not Chase and no idea if you can use a promo along with it.

For me this “benefit” will only be used when at Disney so I will not be getting the full $120 for sure. :(

You should be able to use it for anything that codes as food/beverage that you charge to your room. Make sure you are registered for 2 guests and you’ll get $15x2=$30.00 for each night of your stay. Typically, you have to use it each night of your stay or you lose it. Meaning, if you stay 5 nts, you can’t pool all your credits and spend $150 on your last day.
I always used that credit on a qs breakfast each day, charged to room and it gets taken off

Do you do stuff solo at home? Movies, eating out with a waiter not counter etc, not just running errands.

If it's not something you are comfortable doing on your own at home I'd start there before traveling. There's nothing weird about doing anything alone. Sure sometimes, though not as much in the past few years as over a decade ago, telling a hostess one would sometimes get a reaction. I think it's more common now but also I don't care, I just want to eat.

I'm also an only child so I often played by myself and just learned early that if I want to do something and I don't want to miss out on it then I need to go alone or be ok with not going. Am I still annoyed with myself for not going to see Romy & Michelle the musical when it came to Seattle, yes but at the time I just didn't want to deal with going by myself. But I also skip stuff in general when it's in Seattle because it's become so annoying/$$ to park in and the light rail takes too long.

The other thing to remember and it holds for at home too, when you are out, you'll probably never see these people again so it doesn't matter what they think and no one will probably say anything anyway.
I have been doing stuff solo at home quite a bit, shopping,hiking/walking, I tend to visit local places of interest by myself quite a bit out of necessity (I'm the only one I know interested in some stuff) I tend to eat outside by myself, have done bar/snacks eating alone before.... Last month I took myself to a local restaurant and read a magazine while I dined....I think I'll be ok it's just the initial anxiety of trying this "for real" on my own.... 3/4 days 'alone' sounds a little scary but also liberating. I can tour museums or shop as slowly as I like! At worst, I can eat a quiet dinner in my hotel room (takeout) and enjoy putting my feet up. I have yet to try a show alone...altho why not? I can see doing it sometime. Maybe I'll book a hop on/off bus day just for fun -altho I enjoy all the walking too.

My AF on my CSP posted today. Can I wait until the anniversary points post before downgrading and still get the AF refunded?
Asking again before I mess up. I don't really churn so want to make sure I do this right.

My AF posted on 4/1. My statement closes on 4/18. Should I wait until my statement closes and URs post? Will the full AF be refunded if I wait until 4/19 to call?

Then - how long should I wait until I apply again? I will be using P2's support link when the offer becomes available via support. It has been 48+ months since receiving the bonus originally.

Well,I've decided to go for it solo- gonna dip my toes in somewhere 'easy' and see how I like it- I think a few days in DC will be fun..... here's hoping it all goes as planned! Maybe after this I can try somewhere "bigger" (I've got to say, it's intimidating knowing I'm not going to be meeting anyone I know for meals etc while there)
I travel solo all the time and love it. I eat, sleep, and play when I want without having to accommodate anyone else. Love vacation time with the family too but my wife doesn’t like to travel as much as I do, so I take lots of solo trips to Vegas and follow Texas Tech sports across the country. Works great for us.

Solo traveler here as well. My DH doesn't like to travel as much as I do. Last solo trip was to DL in December. I usually carry my kindle and a small notebook so I can read or journal while I eat. I also eat in my room sometimes because I've been overloaded by people all day (total introvert) and I need to decompress and regroup. DC is great because so much to do with museums, outdoor monuments. As to shows, I've done Broadway shows, theme parks shows and movie solo. No one really notices you are solo. Enjoy and welcome to solo travel.

My DP on P2s CSR….
Annual fee posted 3/1, statement closed 3/19, I SM’d to close 3/30, annual fee refunded 3/31

Was staying away from Chase for a bit as they seem to think I have to many cards or available credit... AMEX only likes us sometimes. Needed a new card. Cancelled one of my US Bank Triple Cash Biz Cards on 3/17 (have another one that was opened on 10/22 and a US Bank Biz Alt Connect opened on 4/18/24). Decided to try and see if cancelling would allow me to get another one.

Went pending and then a few hours later, got the email that my new card was on the way. Yeah!!

Now thinking maybe I will have DH downgrade his CSP and then apply after the referrals go into effect. I have FOMO!!

Hm, I didn't know one could have more than one USB Triple Cash. I only got my first card with the bank last summer. I'm thinking one of their products will be our next card as well

Yeah - it's a nice break from Chase and Amex and still a decent bonus, plus you get 180 days and it is a Biz Card, so doesn't affect 5/24.

Are there any NLL offers for the AmEx biz platinum? I'm trying to formulate a backup plan in case my pending CIP application (will apply on Monday) is declined.
