Wow. Mom just was approved for the Citibusiness AA MC over the weekend and we are waiting for the card to arrive via snail mail. I wonder if we missed seeing a card number to use right away!

Not sure if you saw my edit... they sent me a number with all the details but it can only be used for travel or on aa dot com (I needed supplies...) so I do still have to wait.

They sent me an email titled "Start using your new card today" and the sender was Citi/AAdvantage.

I was waiting to use it to pay for an insurance payment due 12/6/2024. Looks like I will need to use another card since I looks like there is a no chance of getting it if I can't request it expedited.

Weirdly... I messaged the vendor right away (they're a small business so they're responsive) and on their end, it shows it went through...and in the Citi app, it shows "pending"!

Sorry it's not as convenient as I first thought! And I understand the frustration of having to use another card on that payment you have upcoming!

Thanks! We actually used a CSR for the payment today. Not sure if I want to use PYB though. I hate to see the points decrease unless I'm using it on a trip! Lol.

Does anyone here remember why it was a good idea to put our cell phone bills on an Amex Platinum card? DH moved ours to a CIC because of the 5x but I keep thinking it should be on a plat.

People on Slickdeals & Chase Sapphire Reddit are reporting that their order charges are getting broken up by both when items ship separately. So this may become a hassle.

It sounds like it would be better to shop in-store then. Do you know if that would work with these offers?

Me too. Recently used it on my homeowners, umbrella, and even for some trip insurance for a cruise.

I had some Warby Parker offers on 4 Chase cards so I stocked up in $90 gift cards for next time I need glasses. Yesterday I hit Kroger because I had 10% offers on Chase cards plus 4x fuel points and an Amex Apple Pay offer. Was able to get Target gift cards for my direct reports and more Disney gift cards for our Norway cruise. I swear trying to stay on top of this is turning into a full time job.

I know the feeling! I keep a list on my phone to keep track of offers but even still it gets overwhelming. First world problems, I guess

What are people doing with the US bank points? Statement credits?

I'm wondering the same, as we're about to start our first dabble into US Bank cards. I'm guessing statement credits is the only thing worthwhile. $750 cash back for the Triple Cash is what, $600-650 in statement credits? I read somewhere that the redemption rate recently changed... now I can't find it. *facepalm*

I know what you mean. We had the Ralphs/Kroger offers on 8 chase cards. (4 DH and 4 mine) . And three offers of
15% back from Office depot/max on Disney cards. I felt worn down running around a lot. Told my husband I'm not
sure I want to do this anymore and next year will be targeting more travel statement credit subs.

Seems we have a lot of miles/points for flights but I want more funds to get cruise balances down. lol

Renewals rarely need an interview anymore. They just run the background check again.

Anyone used the Bilt Rewards FSA Walgreens link? How did it work out for you? I made a Walgreens purchase on 11/7, requested reimbursement through Bilt on 11/9, my FSA paid Bilt on 11/14 but I still haven't gotten the money from Bilt. Wondering if anyone can tell me if this is normal or abnormal? They are allegedly escalating my case as they can't figure it out either. Great program if it works. Will cause me to spend more at Walgreens, and Bilt takes 1% of the reimbursement.

if you have a US Bank account, you can do cash back, which is what I plan to do. Looks like my $59.75 gets me $59.75 (my $750 is pending still). Oh needs to be $25 increments. My other US bank biz card doesn't do that. Statement credit looks to be the same.

I referred my BIL for a CIU, his first biz card. He was denied and has had a heck of a time trying to figure out why (multiple calls). Yesterday he finally went to a branch and they told him it was a soft denial due to potential fraud??? He applied with EIN, has supplied tons of documentation for them, and they are still acting like there's nothing to be done. Any tips or should he abandon this effort and try with Amex instead.

Same boat. I have been meaning to use the AmEx Gold Dunkin credit but it just has never happened (yet?). I am sure there are others but for some reason that one sticks in my mind.
