Hallmark Movies ❤️ comfort & joy

On Tonight, Saturday:

My Argentine Heart
is on the Hallmark Channel at 8pm ET/PT.

Re-airs:
Sunday January 19 7/6c
Wednesday January 22 8/7c
Saturday February 1 10/9c
Monday February 24 8/7c

Starring: Julie Gonzalo and Juan Pablo Di Pace.
Description: Abril goes to Argentina to save her family ranch from being bought by her ex. But when outside forces threaten the ranch the pair must come together, rekindling their love in the process.

I was curious to see where this movie was filmed. This is what I found:

"It was shot primarily in Argentina, specifically in and around Buenos Aires and Misiones Province. They also filmed at the famed Iguazu Falls in Misiones, Argentina. Principal photography for the Hallmark production reportedly took place over the course of a few weeks in the month of November 2024."

Oooo! Must get my chores finished so I'm ready for Argentina tonight! :woohoo:

Saw something sorta interesting the other day. "When Sparks Fly" was on Hallmark Family channel. When I opened the info page the cast information list included:

"Meghan Markle Duchess of Sussex".

Seems a little odd.

Oh crap! Last night, I was in the middle of posting a reminder for tonight's movie, then I got side tracked. :teleport: :lmao:

Was On Tonight, Saturday:

The Perfect Setting
is on the Hallmark Channel at 8pm ET/PT.

Re-airs: (corrected)
Sunday January 26 at 7/6c
Wednesday January 29 at 8/7c
Saturday February 8 at 11/10c
Sunday February 23 at 9a/8c

Starring: Laci J. Mailey and David Elsendoorn.
Description:
Abby dreams of becoming a successful jewelry designer. Having spent several years in Belgium with her grandfather, she misses him every now and then. When she finds out that there is a Valentine’s Day Diamond Contest in Belgium, Abby has two reasons for visiting the European country. Thus, she books her flight and pays a visit to her grandfather. Moreover, she hopes to win the contest and take the right step towards turning her dreams into reality.

Unexpectedly, she crosses paths with a charming man named Alexander, sparking a romance between the two.

The movie shot, almost the entirety of the film, on location in Antwerp Province in Belgium. Specific, the city of Mechelen, with pivotal sequences on Grootbrug or the Large Bridge in Mechelen. They also took over Grote Markt — the central square of the city of Antwerp — and shot multiple outdoor scenes with the monumental fountain and stunning guild houses in the background. Suderman Straat also served as one of the filming sites for the movie.

Hmmm... my DISH listing for tomorrow (Sunday, Jan 26) has Perfect Setting on at 4pm (Pacific time)

You are correct. Good catch! :thumbsup2

When I copy the re-air dates off the Hallmark website, I usually do it before it airs, so I skip the first date listed as that's the premiere date & time. I hadn't realized that since the movie had already started, the website automatically updated the listings and removed that listing.

Hallmark channel and Hallmark+ fan here! :wave2:

I love “The Way Home”. Is there a separate thread for the show, or are all Hallmark movies and tv series posted here in this thread? :scratchin

I have to admit that I’ve tried watching “When calls the heart” several times. I just can’t get into it. The commercials look good, but when I go back to the start of the series it’s just not fun. Should I keep trying, is it worth it? Or don’t bother…? :confused3

I am loving all of the Hallmark Mysteries, movies and movie series. I love that there are no commercials on Hallmark+. That is worth $7.99 a month, to me.

Welcome to the thread @WDWDCLDLFAN ! :welcome:

The Way Home does not have a separate thread. All of the Hallmark stuff is basically posted here.

If you want to post about The Way Home just start your post with a SPOILER! warning, skip down several empty lines, so people's eyes don't accidentally skip down to read the next line before their brains have a chance to catch up and skip the post. Same for Replying to someone else's post about the series.

I recently finished binge-watching When Calls the Heart. I have very mixed feelings about it. I think part of why it's hard to get into is that all the supporting cast overact and badly. The main 6-ish stars act normally, but the minor roles are doing the show with some weird, stylized image of how they believe people behaved in the early 1900's and the producers and directors allow this. 🤷‍♀️ The acting and the scripts are no where near the level of The Way Home. This show could be so much better. I had to watch the series IN SPITE of these bad actors as I like some of the main stars.

That's only my opinion. Other people feel different about this show.

We took a quick weekend trip so I missed it anyway! I need to catch the reshowing tonight because David Elsendoorn is quickly becoming one of my faves. Hallmark has kept him pretty busy this past year.

I'm looking forward to Loveuary.... but I'm gonna miss the Jane Austen spins from last year. I may have to find where the 2024 movies are streaming. :)
