Girlstar30 SuperThread 🤣🤣

We stayed at copper creek because that was the best bang for our buck price wise if we were to buy there. That was a no for us. The blandest and smallest dvc rooms we stayed in out of 6. Im not trying to trash it i know some people own and love it, just doesnt meet what we are looking for which is themeing and larger rooms. I regret not staying at Riviera, but I'm pretty certain from the rooms I saw and the things I experienced that I won't be disappointed buying there.

So you like the Jambo GV better than Kidani GV?
Besides location, what are the main differences in the rooms themselves?
Depends. It's a mix. But I would not want to not be able to get a GV at Jambo when I really want to.

Kidani -
Better overall usability of the room. More storage. Better layout. Can park at your room bank elevator and likely closer if you have your own car. Kitchen is better and is more stocked with stuff (small sample size here). Closet in the master is meh. Dining room table is a bit small for the room if you have it at capacity. Technically has sleeping room for 14 as it has the sleeper couch upstairs and downstairs. The 2 floor layout is great to allow families come and go. The balcony is good but not as good as Jambo (less the high issue). Can get one lower floor so you can see the animals better. Better pool on this side. Better resort stuff such as the community hall.

Jambo -
It's in Jambo house :)
The three balconies are awesome and that table out there is nice. Table that can almost fit everyone. Kitchen is meh for a room this nice. It's cool having those double doors at your entry. You can sleep in the master closet if you had to (@MrsNVDISFamily really liked this). The pool table is fun. If you have a car that walk from car to room can be a bit long. This is helped by the fact that you are in Jambo and I never tire of walking into the lobby. Better/more food options on this side.

so I never even looked at it, just thought that's for the rich folk
What have I done? LOL. That's what DVC will do to you. It will change how you look at your options.

do you think the jambo one is the nicest grand villa of all the resorts?
That's a hard one. Nicest.... no. That would be Riviera. Favorite GV at WDW is at Copper Creek.

But I was VERY glad to stay at Jambo and very much will want to do so again in the coming years.

What is concerning about the VGC remodel?
Oh, if you want some quality DVC telenovela drama go read our thoughts in the Grand Cal thread. We have some concerns....

We own and love both. The biggest downside of Riviera is the Skyliner can be a pain at times (but we very much love it) and the 1BRs don't have an extra bathroom. I do plan on trying to either get a few more points if there is a strong sale in the future or I'll just buy some destressed resale points in the future and bank/borrow those into a long GV stay every few years.

Here is another way to look at two potential stays I'd consider. Yes Riviera is larger but at some cost. Would you rather have a CCV 2BR for your family or a RVA 1BR for example -

To me, those extra points are worth having that living room space and extra bathroom. It's also more SQ FT per point. CCV has an awesome legacy point chart.

Is the skyliner a pain because it is overcrowded? What makes ccv your favorite and what makes riviera the nicest 2bedroom in your opinion?

Yes I've heard that once you go to a 1 bedroom, you'll never want to go back to a studio, etc. Kind of afraid to go down that rabbit hole because I was very happy just to be at a deluxe room studio at disney world 🤣🤣 I've wanted dvc since I was a college student working at disneyland with an awesome discount, but being paid peanuts to be able to purchase it, oh the irony 🤣🤣

But they would have given you a discount on DVC! Or maybe they don't do that anymore?
