General Star Wars Discussion

I just share for those who may be interested to watch or whatever. I don’t watch most of the trailers I post either.

They can show too much. The first trailer got me excited enough - I'm all in.

whoa, I liked it! a lot! I am very glad they seem to be putting out the theme right from the get-go - this is kids, this feels like an 80s adventure, just happens to be set in the SW universe, it's KIDS/teens, etc. so when it comes out, people won't be all surprised by that. Like I think it feels like the movie Space Camp, goofy kids movie. Just glad to know what to expect going in. It's not gonna be Andor, but that's ok. (nothing will be as great as Andor....and that's ok.) I loved the music they added to the trailer, Jude Law looks intriguing. This was good! I"m excited!
I do also agree with y'all, trailers can have too many spoilers, so I understand why might be good to avoid.

I think there is room for well done Star Wars projects like Andor that are more adult in tone and dealing with some of the politics. I also think there is room for pure fun adventure Star Wars that is more for kids, which is what I am hoping this will be.

I do worry that some fans may not like the kid-friendly tone, despite the fact that Star Wars is for kids. They will want it to be serious, you know? Not all fans are like that, but the ones who are will be vocal about it. See prequel backlash, etc.

So, I don't know if he's the guy I'd go to for the rumored Episodes X-XI-XII, but if it's a side project, maybe. I mean, his X0Men movies are terrible, but then again all X-Men movies are pretty bad minus a couple of exceptions. He did work on Rebels, and that is peaks Star Wars, so maybe.

Started watching Deadpool/Wolverine this morning, and was greeted with new Andor footage (and some from other upcoming shows.) Looks so,so awesome!!! I can't wait until April!

Also, if anyone watching the game show, The Floor, last week they did the Star Wars category...it was fun, easy, except I"m gonna fess up, I didn't know one of the pictures at first...I probably would've passed. All of the characters, things, planets were supposed to be in the films, and I had to double check this one was...and it was! Anyway, it was fun. We'd taped it, but it should also be on Hulu. The kids watched separately and made me proud. They knew almost of it.

I wish I could get excited about this show but I'm not the target audience at all. Andor S2 can't come fast enough though haha

Lots of great great stuff to watch coming up. Still waiting for Macross however in the US. Its everywhere else in the world on D+ so their usual 'upcoming' list is disappointing in that one regard. Ah well. Gotta read the fine print. 😂

In any case, the SW material all looks quite good. I agree, Andor I look forward to the most. I actually did like Ashoka despite the detractors. Wasnt a great show but it had its moments and I will be interested to see what they come up with.
