Do you like gambling? What games do you enjoy? As many times as I've been to Vegas, I'm really not much of a gambler, with my luck I might as well toss a $20 into the trash as I walk by LOL.

I tend to stick to quarter slots, I especially like the old school ones with the spinning wheels. I put in $20-40 but after I lose that I'm done for the day. I've mostly shied away from table games. Once with a friend I played roulette and had no idea what I was doing. Another of my good friends is insisting on going to Vegas to teach me blackjack when covid is over. I've always been interested in learning craps. Anyone ever do those training sessions casinos offer?

Up until last March, I would go to a local casino around 3 times a month. I almost always play the penny slot machines and usually bet 5 to cents a spin so I can play a while on $10.

Started with $20, made about $100 bucks, and put it right back in the machine. One time I don't think I even took 5 minutes to blow through $20. I hate that, I start thinking about how I'd have more fun and it'd last longer if I spent it on a cocktail instead 😂

DH enjoys it. I prefer to be guaranteed I'll get something for my money. The only time we went to Vegas many years ago I got a roll of nickels the day we arrived that I gambled on all week just to have something to do, while he was gambling. I mostly shopped & watched the free shows in the casinos he was gambling in. DH is wanting to go back to Vegas & take our DS, when we feel comfortable traveling again. DS isn't much of a gambler either other than fantasy football & fantasy basketball. I like the idea of having someone to hang out with, while DH gambles. On a side note, can you take cellphones into the casinos in Vegas now? The thing I really didn't like about Vegas was separating from DH, then not being able to easily find him. Cruise ships work better for us. He can gamble while I watch a show or hang out in the cabin & I don't have to worry about not being able to find him.

It can be a fun night / afternoon out.

When I was seeing Jerk Face I went to the casino(s) about a dozen times. The first time. I put in $20 and won $350. I pulled out $300 stuck it in my wallet and played the the day. Another time, first time at a different casino. I played and lost my $20 and he over my refusals put another $20 in the machine. I played and left with $80. All other times I played my limit (usually $20) and left with $0.

I had only been to a casino twice before then and haven't been to one since before JF & I stopped talking.

I don’t think you have to know what you’re doing to play roulette. Jk. Kinda not. OK finally a thread where I get to give my advice on gambling handed down to me. My mother-in-law went to Vegas and was up $300. And she’s no gambler. My advice was to stop, go buy a nice pair of shoes or a purse or something. Then go back and gamble some more if you’d like. I’m sure you all see where I’m going with this. She didn’t take my advice and she was down $200 when she left. She could have went home down ??? but with a brand new handbag.

I think it’s on a T-shirt- I went gambling with jerk face and all I got was this lousy $300. Haha. Why do people who like to gamble think an ideal date is to take their non-gambling significant other gambling? What a jerk face.

I played Pokemon Go all over the casinos a few years ago, so I think yes.

I buy lottery tickets if they get super big, but that's about the extent of my gambling.

I've been to Vegas a couple of times for work and never did find a "Penny" Slot Machine. Sure, there were a bunch of slots that had 1cent displayed, but they all required multiple credits (5-10-20-whatever). Then they're not "Penny Slots". Just my opinion. The soap box is empty.

I did find I did not like Blackjack, did like roulette. One trick a buddy of mine taught me... put an equal bet on two of the 1/3 (1st 12, 2nd 12, last 12). You have a 2/3 chance of winning, and it pays 2:1.

When I went to casinos with my ex, his idea of a nice "date night" was I stood around and waited for him while he played penny slots. We didn't even really talk, but he wanted me hanging out right there with him. 🙄

Not much into gambling. I played a slot machine and won a progressivejackpot. quite a bit and put it away and put it away and dh gambled it all away.

Yes. A lot. Refer to previous post on a Low-Key thread regarding my mid-life crisis. 🥴🧐😳😂
I remember, Vegas seems like a good choice for midlife crisis 😉 (btw the cromwell rooms look really nice! It's one of the contenders for the next trip)

Nope. Makes me anxious. My mom and I had a girls weekend to a spa across from Mohegan and we went over there to check it out and to find a place to have dinner. My mom handed me $20, I lost $5 and then gave $15 back to her. She then used it and lost it! It killed me. $20 is half a tank of gas!
