I have 70 new minutes of yoga, GrowwithJo, and exercise bike. That brings me to Cinnamon Roll along with sophy1996, Twilight Sparkle, PollyannaMom, Shanny McB and the TEAM! Oneanne and Raya have reached Potato Barrel Purple!

Potato Barrels are a cute name that Disney gives to what we might call Tater Tots.

Woody's Lunch Box has a few options. The Breakfast Bowl features Potato Barrels covered in Brisket!

They also have plant-based totchos with "chilli" and "cheese." I honestly don't know what that means but it still sounds pretty good!

Friar's Nook in Magic Kingdom also has lots of tots! They used to have a sausage gravy variant and I'm so sad they don't have it anymore because it sounds so good.

My mouth is watering. I need some Totchos now.

I might have to try the plant-based totchos on this upcoming trip. Thanks for the head's up on that!

Just to chime in on the Tonga Toast discussion, I have also never had it. I'm not a big french toast fan, so it never really appealed to me.

Twilight Sparkle has reached Potato Barrel Purple and her minutes pushed the TEAM there too!

You know what I think a potential weak spot in Disney is? Their donut offerings! I love a good donut for an unhealthy breakfast. (Fun fact, the county I grew up in has its own Donut Trail, so I feel like I know a thing or two about donuts.) There are a few options for Disney Donuts, though!

Joffrey's Coffee offers donuts, and the Joffrey's in Blizzard Beach even has mini donuts, available with dipping sauces!

Of course, if you're willing to start your morning at Disney Springs instead of the parks, you can go to Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew and get some novelty donuts. These aren't my favorite variety of donut, but they sure look instagram-worthy!

Finally, I'll mention a treat that's kind of donut-adjacent: the cheshire cat tail at Cheshire Cafe! This is technically a pastry, but I think it would be found in the glass case next to the maple long johns in any other donut shop, don't you?

These cat tails are one of my most favorite treats at WDW! I look forward to one each trip. We also tried Joffrey's donuts last time, and they were good.

It's so odd to me that Disney has a "New England" area but no apple cider donuts. Not even at Halloween time! They're an iconic regional food that's portable and delicious. And you've got the oil ready for funnel cakes, so that's not the problem. Sigh.

Have you ever had POG? This is a wonderful breakfast beverage comprised of Passion Fruit, Orange, and Guava juice that is served at several locations around Disney World. Here is a list of every place you can get POG:

Tusker House in Animal Kingdom (though they call it Jungle Juice there)
Dawa Bar (though they call it Ngumu Jungle Juice)
At Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom, POG is part of The Tropical Serenade (a POG ice cream float type situation, and the P stands for Pineapple here)
Of course you'll find POG at 'Ohana during the Best Friends Breakfast
At Kona Cafe they call it Liliko’i Juice
The Barefoot Pool Bar at the Polynesian (along with some alcoholic versions, if that's what you're into)
1900 Park Faire in the Grand Floridian
Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge (also in cocktails here, too)
The Mara has a POG slush
and finally, Hollywood Studios has a POG sorbet at Gelato Cart

POG for the win! I make it every Easter as a treat for the kids. The adults often add some sparkling wine or rum to it for a refreshing spring-y cocktail

Yes, I have had and do love POG juice. Like the Mint Iced Tea at Spice Road, it is something I can drink, and drink, and drink until my belly is all sloshy.

I associate POG juice with Hawaii, so I was on the lookout when we visited Aulani years ago! Love it.

I think I've had POG juice... maybe? I can't believe I wouldn't have ordered it but now that I think about it I don't distinctly remember drinking it. But! I drink a ton of Disney Mocktails, so they all sort of blur together.

Twilight Sparkle is POG Pink! and Oneanne is the first to reach Griddle Green!

To celebrate, let's talk about a few breakfast spots in WDW where the sky is the limit! I'm talking all you can eat!

First, at Ale & Compass at the yacht club, you can partake of an all-you-can-eat add-on to your entree that includes things like pastries and yogurt. Entree options include the classics as well as Dark Chocolate Waffles and a New England Breakfast quiche.


Boma at AKL has a breakfast buffet with the basics as well as some more African-inspired flavors, as in the turkey bobotie.


Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge offers tempting bottomless breakfast skillets.


If you like to load up in the morning to power through your day, these look like some good choices! I usually prefer a lighter breakfast on park days, but sometimes there's no better way to start the day than going absolutely hog wild.
