if you look at the reviews of Space 220, you might be discouraged from going there. My extended family's experiences with Space 220 have all been very good. If you have emotional connections to space exploration, the astronaut program, or science fiction, I think you will enjoy it very much. The elevator entry simulates rising from Earth to a space station that is 220 miles up. This is quite nicely done. You can see Disney World down below, and then increasing areas of Florida. The "return" trip to Earth seems much faster. In the restaurant, there are large panoramic screens that show space ships approaching the station and space walkers, including a family and a dog. The lighting gives the impression of being in space, and even the restrooms follow a space theme. The first time we were there, a young boy was so overwhelmed by the setting that he had to be taken out on a stretcher. I am sure he was fine afterwards! But the atmosphere is quite striking, if you are willing to suspend belief and play along.

The dinner menu is prix fixe, with three courses. In terms of the food, the appetizers, which are "lift-offs," are good, and imaginative. We have always been happy with the filet mignon entree. I think it is on par with steak most other places in Disney World (excepting Hollywood Brown Derby, the California Grill, and a few other restaurants). The salmon was also well liked by our group. You can order extra vegetables, which we did the last time around, but we were so full we did not eat much of the extra order. The desserts are also very good. I tended to have sorbet or gelato, because I was looking for something relatively light. The heavier desserts are more complex. My brother highly recommends the lunar carrot cake.

I'd recommend trying this experience at least once, if your budget permits, and if you think you might like it.

For us, it is always on our dining list when we return to WDW.

I enjoyed Space 220 when I went. My steak was good, though I don't prever a NY strip. The cauliflower appetizer was amazing - I wanted more of that!

I did vote for Garden Grill though - I just love that place. You can tell by how good it smells that it is up to par. I always enjoy it.

I have to say I agree. We've been twice, and were happy both times. I think the prix fixe and the cost in general make people expect too much for what it is. The food is good to very good, maybe not the best on property, but for the food quality combined with the experience (and the cost for the business to maintain that experience), it doesn't seem unreasonably-priced to me.

I will continue with the Space 220 theme. The first time just me and my husband went and we really enjoyed it. Really great atmosphere, and our steaks were wonderful.

We just took our girls and granddaughter last week. I was completely disappointed. We were seated right next to the restroom. I could deal with that, but 2 of us were facing the restroom with absolutely no view of "space" unless you turned around in your seat. The location is also the farthest into the corner you can get leaving the "views" subpar. Lets face it you're paying an exorbitant amount for the theming, as such this seating location just didn't cut it. If I had to do it all over I would definitely request to be seated elsewhere.

In addition to the bad seating arrangement, I really wish they offered some basic appetizers that appealed to the younger diners. There's a lot of parents that take their kids here, with a prefix menu, that again your paying an exorbitant amount for. I would like for my kids to eat the food. Our kids appetizers went untouched after their first bite.

We spent $400 for the 5 of us, and we all agreed we didn't need to go back. That money would be better spent elsewhere.

I almost voted for Garden Grill. My daughter loves it because of Chip and Dale. The food is very good, in my opinion. Most of the food is similar to the food at Liberty Tree Tavern. However, the wonderful vinaigrette salad dressing is Garden Grill's own, and I have searched out the recipe. The first time we were there, the restaurant did not rotate; that was during Covid. On subsequent trips, the restaurant has always rotated, and that adds to the experience.

That's too bad! What an unfortunate table location! Sorry you had that experience. The kids' menu has not been an issue for us for many years--but it will be again a couple of years in the future. So, I took a look at the kids' menu. If the next generation down eats like our children, then the fruit cup and the mac and cheese would be okay as appetizers. The others did not look like they would be too successful as choices for my group. The dinner selections looked fine, but overall the kids' menu pricing seems a bit expensive for the choices.

The Moon Rocks drink is pricy but lots of fun. I will admit to having it once myself.

My girls are both "15" so they are a bit too old to be ordering off the kids menu. Thus, my disappointment in the appetizer menu selection. They did both find something to eat for their meal. Did I really pay $55 for a hamburger and an app they didn't eat? :confused3

My husband and I both discussed this topic the other night and both agreed the experience wouldn't have left a bad taste in our mouth had we been able to book the Lounge. Unfortunately, we were a party of 5 so that was a no can do. :-)

I edited this poll to close a lot earlier, so get your votes in, we need to move this Epcot poll into Round 2 so it can catch up with the rest that all close in 9 weeks. :)

I get your thinking but you need to look at it more did we spend $55 so my girls can "see space". It's the same upcharge Cinderellas castle or and character dining commands.

And let's face it... we're at year 5 of space 220. Nothing has changed. The lounge will be a hot commodity for the foreseeable future. The restaurant will continue to have people ask how do we eat the for the lounge price .

Personally I think it's the most overrated Disney attraction/reservation ever. My suggestion is if you really want in here....wait til the pirate bar opens and try then x😜

I completely agree. I was spending $55 per plate to see "space". But my previous post indicated I got a better view of space garbage (I had a great view of the restroom, lol).

I completely understand the upcharge at these highly themed restaurants. I frequent them, but I also think they could at least provide a decent meal. Ate at CRT and their tomato soup is the worst tomato soup I've eaten. It would have been better if it was a can of Campbell's.

We’re eating at Space 220 next trip purely because my kid is in love with the idea of the place. It’s rough coughing up adult prices for a 10 year old.

For this poll Les Halles is my favorite option by a mile. Never had anything bad there. Seating, however, is dicey.
