HI everyone!

Me, DS 32, and DD 28 will be in the parks May 3 - 10. We are taking a re-eye from Seattle and will be arriving early on Saturday, May 3. We are staying Deluxe so will have access to Extended Evening Hours. My questions:
  • What can we expect to accomplish during Extended Evening Hours for both Epcot and MK? We are planning 2 days in each of these parks.
  • Do we really need Lightning Lane Multipass for MK? With 2 days plus Extended Evening Hours for Epcot, I really don't think we'll need it for that park.
  • We have 6 day, one-park-per-day tickets. We may decide to go to a park on arrival day if we're not too tired. If we decide to, can we upgrade to 7 day tickets during our stay, and just pay the difference between a 6 and 7 day ticket? Or do I need to upgrade before we begin using the tickets?
Thanks in advance for all your great advice!

We took a family trip to Disney this year. Five days in the parks-one day for each park and then a "pick your park" day. I thought long and hard about LLMP and LLSP. I decided that we would get LLMP for MK and HS-one day each. A MMSP for FOP in Animal Kingdom and MMSP for Guardians in Epcot. Nothing for the last day.
I am not frivolous spender. On the other hand, I want to enjoy my vacation. I am VERY glad we got the LL. The next time we go to Disney, I will get MM every day for every park. Once you use LL a time or two, it is easy to use. And, it makes the parks so much nicer, without extended ride times.
Is it a necessity? No. Does it, in my opinion, make your park days nicer? Yes.
A note-we also had Extended Evening Hours and did rope drop. My husband and I were not able to do the rope drop and the Extended Evening Hours-we were too tired. Two of my daughters stayed from open to close. My other daughter and her family did rope drop, went back for an afternoon rest, and then went back for Extended Evening Hours. They were all glad we had MM. Everyone did every ride they wanted to-sometimes more than once.
Let me also say-we do not go to Disney every year, so when we do go, we want to make the most of our trip.

I’m taking my family the same week. EEH will be at AK on May 5th instead of at EP according to the park hours calendar on MDE. Personally, I’m not too excited about that.

While I have not seen an Official confirmation, the Summit Cheer Championships are at WDW, May 1-4. The Celebration party is normally the next day which would be May 5th, and recent Celebrations parties have been at Epcot beginning at 9 PM. It would be a separate Private Ticketed Event.

I'm so glad I asked these questions! I had no idea about EEH being at AK on May 5th! Kinda throws my plans off a bit as we are staying at AKL the second half of our trip and was planning on going to AK then. Oh well. Back to planning!

Now I need to figure out the LL situation! This may be our last trip for awhile.

Thank you everyone for your advice!

AK- I haven't done EE. But you should be able to do pretty much a good chunk of what is available. I'd hit up the Mickey and Minnie greet first, then over to Everest for a ride or 2 or 3. Then Dinosaur. For the last hour, enjoy Pandora at night. Go on Na'vi. I'd save Flights for last (getting in the queue at the very end and ignoring the posted wait time as it will be inflated.) Honestly, AK EE sounds better than EPCOT because you can do more with that time IMO.

If you plan to go for rope drop and through the end of EE, then I think you can pass on LLMP. Save 7 Dwarves and Tron (in that order) for your last hour of EE.

You should be able to do that if you still have 1 day left on your pass. So get it done towards the beginning of your stay at Guest Relations in any park and you will be set.

Hello, Has anyone tried to use the multipass for parkhopping? If so, what was your experience getting passes for the second park?
Thanks!

Yes guests use it everyday since it launched on July 24th, 2024. Your experience depends on the crowds and how early your tap in to your first park, and tap in to your first LLMP to enable the Multi Park function of LLMP. Early use provides the most flexibility.

Thank you for the input. I'm wondering if the crowd levels are huge for Easter, if I stand a chance of using passes at HS in the morning and try to get Level One passes at Epcot.

We accidentally went at Easter one year and it was the most miserable trip. I’ve never seen crowds like that. So to answer your wuestion, crowd levels will be “huge”.

We, too, went to Disney once during the days leading up to and including Easter. While most of our days were fine, Easter day itself was horrible. Way too crowded. I couldn't believe the people. We could hardly move.
