It wasn't working very well when we got there on 1/1, but a couple days later it was going off pretty regularly.01/04/25 - was visiting WL and the Geyser was working that afternoon.

It’s working now, just went off for ages. We have a good view of it from our room.It wasn't working very well when we got there on 1/1, but a couple days later it was going off pretty regularly.
You are correct, CCV rooms are former hotel rooms. If you are in the lobby and are facing the lake/pool, the CCV rooms are all in the wing to your right. Be advised that the CCV rooms are starting a refurbishment in the spring (May, I believe) & will continue through September. Availability could be more limited due to this. The cabins are part of CCV, not Boulder Ridge, but not in the main building. Hope it works out for you, it’s one of my 2 favorite resorts. It will be a great surprise trip!Sorry to ask a silly question but I can't seem to find an answer in so much that I'm reading on various websites.
We have stayed a WL a few times but haven't been there since 2021 and that was just for lunch.
When we stayed there, it was the hotel, shaped like a U with the pool in the center. VWL was a separate building.
Now there is CCV and BRV and cabins along the water. Based on the map of the resort, it looks like CCV has taken over what used to be hotel rooms. If I were to rent DVC points for a studio CCV stay, would we get to our room from the elevators off the lobby, similar to a hotel room?
Dh LOVES WL and I'd love to surprise him with a long weekend visit but I don't want to be in a separate building and only see the lobby at check in or dining.
I'd love some clarification.
Thanks!!
The CCV DVC took over what was the South Wing of the main lodge including south side (couple of rooms) of the main building. And yes the main elevator bank will allow you to access all floors of the CCV, Floors 1-7. The rest of the main lodge, North wing and the north side of the Main lodge are still the WL Hotel rooms.Based on the map of the resort, it looks like CCV has taken over what used to be hotel rooms. There were cinnamon rolls in the hot cabinet last night but I didn’t see any blueberry ones (but I wasn’t checking that closely). Can anyone recently returned from the WL confirm whether the blueberry cinnamon roll is available at Roaring Fork? I am not seeing it on the current online menu. Thanks!
I went down while we're there, and I didn't see any blueberry cinnamon rolls ...I might have gotten one of there wasCan anyone recently returned from the WL confirm whether the blueberry cinnamon roll is available at Roaring Fork? I am not seeing it on the current online menu. Thanks!
Yes, CCV took over rooms in the main building. You take the elevators up from the lobby. If you're standing just outside the lobby and looking at the main pool, CCV rooms are on the right.Sorry to ask a silly question but I can't seem to find an answer in so much that I'm reading on various websites.

Resort view rooms will face the woods. You can request a room overlooking the lobby. The 4th to 6th floor rooms are resort view. We really like the rooms overlooking the lobby. We've been lucky enough to watch them put up the Christmas tree and change the fabric on the huge chandeliers in the lobby. We just booked a family trip at Wilderness Lodge for November 18-21. Praying Christmas decorations will be up! We got 3 rooms resort view. Where are resort rooms located? We really don’t care about a view but would like to be close to the lobby.
Just a room when you walk out you can see the lobby or near it. The 4th floor would probably be what we want. Probably inner courtyard.@maryj11 you are in luck there are more than 70+ resort view rooms. Now to narrow down what you mean by close to the lobby?
On floors 1 - 3 these rooms are all out in the north wing. There are no guest rooms on the second floor near where the lobby is locations. The Guest rooms on the 4th floor of the main lodge and are closest to the lobby. Next would you prefer a view of the north grounds or the inner courtyard?
Dave
There are about 10 rooms overlooking the lobby on the 4th floor, and about 10 rooms that are just around the corner from the overlook area of the lobby and have a view of the upper courtyard.Just a room when you walk out you can see the lobby or near it. The 4th floor would probably be what we want. Probably inner courtyard.
They booked resort view so it would be a lucky upgrade if they were given a courtyard view. Those rooms are now classed as water view.overlooking the upper courtyard as your second choice,
We want near each other and yes I’m going to add traveling together. I haven’t called yet but will. Thanks for all the information. I’ll ad some other requests like overlooking the lobby. There are about 10 rooms overlooking the lobby on the 4th floor, and about 10 rooms that are just around the corner from the overlook area of the lobby and have a view of the upper courtyard.
Do you want the 3 guest rooms close to each other?
If you want the 3 rooms all near each other. Have you indicate in each reservation the reservation is traveling with and have you provided the 2 other reservation numbers? You should request overlooking the lobby as your first room request, overlooking the upper courtyard as your second choice, and your third request would be the 4th floor.
Finally when you get to the WL, stop by the Front desk, and confirm your room locations before you enter the 3 rooms. It will save you time and it is easier for the Front desk CM to adjust your room assignments if possible. The final comment is that room requests are just requests and can't be guaranteed.

Okay we don’t really need a courtyard view I’ll just ask for overlooking the lobby. They booked resort view so it would be a lucky upgrade if they were given a courtyard view. Those rooms are now classed as water view.
The old courtyard view has been split into the new resort view, and the water view. The first section of the wing off the main lodge section can't see the pool / water unless you stand on the balcony and look only to your left you may see the Pool umbrellas but that's about it. Your view will be landscaping when looking down, the CCV wing directly across the courtyard, and the Main lodge just to the right. They booked resort view so it would be a lucky upgrade if they were given a courtyard view. Those rooms are now classed as water view.
@maryj11 you can request a view of the upper courtyard as it provides 10+ additional rooms that you might be assigned in your 3 requests since you are also wanting 3 room near each other.Okay we don’t really need a courtyard view I’ll just ask for overlooking the lobby.
