Disney inspired nails for vacation

I don't have any pictures, but I had a great design last year. They airbrushed my tips in layered colors black, yellow and red. It was subtle but definitely Mickey colors!

Went for pedicure last night, and asked them if they could paint me a custom mickey design for my Dec trip, and add Swarovski crystals. They said OF COURSE! I will have to post the pics when I get them done. This was a cool thread to check out!!!

Post more please! These are so cute! I never even thought about getting my nails done until today. I was thinking of having them done with little balloons on them to look like the Mickey balloons on the website.

When we were at DL a few months ago, I took my daughter to the Mandara spa inside the Grand Californian hotel. They were able to put Mickey and Minnie heads on her thumbs. The gal said she could also do pirates but I never did see it done.

Does anyone know if one of the WDW spas does the same thing?

Wow Im talking alot about this subject. I heard those new Salley marker pens are excellent for doing designs

Yess my DD 14 has all 8 of them! They work really good! Everybody thinks a she got them done. Also, they are water based so if u make a mistake you can just wipe it off with water so you do not mess up your base coat. If you do get them make sure you put clear coat on or it will wipe off. Also make sure you have enough on the polish brush or the brush will smear your design,.

Water based! Good to know! I had my nails done yesterday but I didn't get anything Disneyish yet because we don't leave for 6 weeks. I just got the american manicure...but I am SOOOOOOO wanting to draw a mickey head on them...lol.

Dh thinks I'm crazy because me and our girls were talking about going and getting red toes with mickey heads. But seeing some of the other pics they are cute too.

Ive only done the crystals in a Mickey icon on my toes, This year I will also do my nails, maybe Ill try painting them cute with mickey color!

I just did the clear crystal mickey heads on my big toes too! Pale pink nail polish with sparkles.
On my dd's we have a princess rhinestone kit from target. She has pink nail polish with one big toe as a mickey head and on the other a crown. Both made out of pink rhinestones. On her finger nails we have put Cinderella and Belle.
Anyone know how well the rhinestones stay on while swimming? I plan on bringing the set with us to replace as needed.

dmaz-- I have found that for my DD that they don't stay on well when she is swimming-- but she is ALWAYS in the water!! next time I will try a bit of super glue

I am having the Peppermint Pedi while at Disney the last day before we haed to the Magic. I was wondering if they would do that for me? I normally have my nails orange and blue (gator colors) but might have to go to red.

This makes me want to go have my nails done today--and my trip isn't until the end of Sept. I'm definitely going to do this before I go, just have to figure out what design I want. I really like the Minnie red with white polka dots.
