They have 40% off tickets right now that go through our dates in February. Should I get tickets now or wait for a better deal on Black Friday?

Do you think there will be a better discount?
Seems pretty good to me.
If it were me I would buy with that discount now.
I searched online and it shows them having 50% off deals on Black Friday. But yeah, 40 is good, and it would be 186.00 for day pass and two park days. We just want a day pass and not dolphin swim. Does that sound like a good deal?

Well I mean its 40% so yes sounds like a good deal...
My opinion is that you know what you got and you know its available for your dates.
You will not know if its a better deal until black Friday and you will not know if it includes your dates.

Something to consider also is that even if they have 50% off Black Friday deals again, your Feb date will be that much closer and thus the base price may be higher by then.

DC tickets are fully refundable. "If you decide to cancel more than 30 days prior to your original reservation date, you will receive a 100% refund." You can always buy now and check again on Black Friday & compare.

Check Undercover Tourist also to compare, especially on Black Friday. Last time I got tickets, the UT Black Friday deals undercut the direct from DC price. And you can still make date changes with the UT tickets.

Either way, do check out what Black Friday deals they put out, you can get some nice discounts on extras SW/BG/etc.

Oh also, will you be parking at SW for those 2 park days? Parking at DC is free but it's pricey at SW/Aquatica. Upgrading 1 DC ticket to the 3 park add-on which includes parking will be cheaper than paying to park at SW.

We are not driving thanks though !

Discovery Cove Orlando has discontinued Swimming With Dolphins as of July 21, 2024. This is due to a terrible incident on
July 19, 2024. A child was swimming with dolphin.
Dolphin swam further out into the water with the little girl and began tossing her around in and out of water taking her underneath water too. Mother screaming. They did rescue the girl from the water. No reports of how the girl is as of today. Horrific scene and accident. No reports from
Discovery Cove or Sea World as of today,
Sunday, July 21, 2024.
It still shows dolphin swims as an option?

Please provide a reference for this. The website doesn't say anything about this and a Google search came up with nothing. This is a reportable post and could be libel if this is just totally made-up.

We booked our November tickets with the sale. The thing to keep in mind with Discovery Cove is that they can only hold so many guest per day, so you will be risking your preferred date 'selling out' if you wait.

I sincerely doubt any dates Sept-Feb sell out at DC, with the possible exception of Christmas week - it's not most people's winter destination (and Sept is just slow in general). Though prices do increase as the dates near, generally.

the last time we went it was PACKED so much so it was almost impossible to get food. I think they have really upped the capacity compared to what it used to be like. And this was in September.

This was my daughter. It did in fact happen and everything regarding it has somehow been removed from the internet. She was in the 11:20 am group on July 19th, 2024 the dolphin was Coral. My 6 year old daughter was taken by ambulance to the children’s emergency room. The vice president jumped in the water off the cliff to help my daughter. This is not made up. I was told they were discontinuing the swims until further notice, however I was told they still continued the rest of the day.

Your daughter was injured in a dolphin swim? I am very sorry to hear that - how terrifying!!! The above news article says it was a 13 year old from Cardiff who had a seizure while in the pool and tragically drowned.

I'm still not sure what the point would be of making this story up, so I will give you the benefit of the doubt here. If so, I'm very sorry that happened and hope that she is recovering.

On the other hand....this must have been a WORLD-CLASS cover up, considering that there is absolutely nothing leaked about this seemingly major incident anywhere online. And our only evidence is a post by a 1-time poster on this forum....

We are considering going to DC in late April / early May. Anyone know whether dates around these times sell out well in advance? Thx

I've never seen any date sell out. they limit the capacity but there are tonnes more people in there than they used to have. It's still enjoyable but they really did up the capacity at some point.
I have mid May booked and it's still wide open.
