Entries for the Contest closed on 8/14. This contest is open solely to the Dis'ers who are on the December Roll Call. The person who guesses, or comes closest to guessing, the number of Dis'ers on our Roll Call come October 17th (9pm EST) will win a prize courtesy of awesome Dis'er, levenhopper. -Speaking of Facebook, Disney has a WDW Holidays Facebook page.

-Hurricane Hanna's at the BC resort is closed for refurbishment till 12/18/12.

-Touringplans.com blog post regarding "What to expect in December" when it comes to park hours.

-Re-imagined Test Track to open "late Fall." No exact date announced, but hopefully that means it will be up and running come December.

-Be Our Guest restaurant news: Requests for dinner ADRs for Be Our Guest began on 8/20 (online-8/22.) Credit card hold required. Lunch is counter service, so no ADR required.

-Fantasyland Land Expansion (FLE) officially opens on December 6th, with previews to start November 16th!! Here's a video that reveals more of the expansion and some of the animatronics too!

-Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage is now open for booking in December.

-Check out this thread to find out when ADRs become available for the Wishes Dessert Party in December.

-Sleigh rides at Fort Wilderness are now open for booking!

-EPCOT's Candlelight Processional dining packages ADRs opened on Tuesday, June 26. Most up to date list of speakers can be found here.

-The December 2012 Cancelled ADR thread is a great way to see if you can find that hard to get ADR.

-The taping of the WDW Christmas Parade will be Nov. 30-Dec. 1st this year.

-As in previous years, Typhoon Lagoon is closed all of December for its annual refurbishment. Blizzard Beach is open.

-Hoping for a Disney resort discount? Keep on eye on this thread. Also visit Mousesaver's historical discounts to get a sense of what/when discounts were released for December in the past.

-Pop Warner Tournament is scheduled to run 12/1-12/9.

We are going Dec. 8 (my birthday!) - Dec. 15. It will be me, DH, DD4, DD7 and my mom. My sister is also arranging to visit her ILs in Orlando, and will be with us for part of the week with her DH and her DD4 and DD2.

This will be a bittersweet trip for us, we are all so excited - especially the kids that grandmom is coming! But it is our first big family vacation since my dad passed away 9 months ago.

We are DVC and hoping to stay at BLT, but we have to wait till 7 months to make that reservation since BLT is not our home resort.

Can't wait to hear everyone's plans!

So happy you followed us over! Just like you, I am super excited to see all the holiday decorations and events! I was so in awe over what they do for Halloween, so I can imagine Christmas will be AWESOME! I went to DL years ago during Christmas, but this was mid- 80s. I think they have all beefed it up since then.

We have ladies mainly from the west coast....but we do have some that travel from further east. Great bunch of ladies & the weekends are so much fun!!!

Thanks for starting the new thread. I love the idea of planning with those who are going to the magic the same time we are. However, thanks to the school system departing from tradition, we are now planning on being in the World Dec 27-Jan 1 and will still stay at POR. (Usually, the kids still get Jan 2nd off when it falls on a weekday, but not for the 2012-13 school year! )

I don't know that I'll do a PTR since we aren't at all exciting. In a nutshell, I didn't get to make my first trip to WDW until 2007, although DH went quite a bit growing up. But I'm hooked! This will be our 3rd trip in 5 years I've always wanted to take a trip during the kids' Christmas break, and after a 2011 filled with heartache after heartache (including the sudden death of my dad), I looked at DH and said, "I wish we could go", and he said, "Your wish is my command". I love that DH loves WDW as much as I do!

We are trying our best to keep this a secret from DS15 and DD13 just so we can spring it on them Christmas Day. Wish us luck!

Update: I'm on the roll call twice (DisneyMama21) My real, booked, confirmed dates are Dec. 22-Jan 2 at AKV Jambo

This will be my family (DH, DS7, DD5, DD3) and my first Christmas at Disney and only our 3rd trip! We went last summer for the first time and fell in love with WDW, bought into DVC when we got home, and will go again this summer before our big Christmas trip! AAAAANNNNNNDDDDDD....DH and I will celebrate our 10th anniversary on Dec. 28th while we are at Disney!!! Any awesome suggestions for our big anniversary are welcome!

I've only ever been to WDW with hubby (and once with a friend), but this December, my parents are wanting to do a christmas, family thing!!

Nothing is for sure yet though, depends on finances. We hope to know for sure by the summer
