Hope everyone had a good holiday. I had to work, we all aren’t on vacation in Florida. lol.
I do have two, four day weekends coming up in December. Some mandatory overtime before that but that’s fine, extra Christmas cash.
It’s also a little chilly down here. You people in the north need to come down here, your weather is in my backyard and drunk, you need to take it back with you.

I like working holidays. I worked Thursday, met up with the family at LeCellier for lunch, they had a turkey etc. I had a filet. lol. Then I went to work.
Same for Christmas. I’m off the 21,22,23,24. I won’t start till 3:15 on Christmas. We’ll have Christmas dinner on the 24th.
I get double time for working the holiday plus a paid floating vacation day.
You get use to celebrating holidays on not quite the same day everyone else does but they do take care of us. AND, they feed us too. lol. AND our raise is coming through in a few weeks. Whooooot Whoooooot.
 
If you let me job shadow for a day, I'll pick up the drunk weather man and let him freeze his baguettes off here in Chicago.

No heat?…………… I’m going to break, I might come back……..

For a first class ticket south, I'll guarantee anything.

I don't think I have any time off before Christmas. Maybe a day off a couple days after?
We don't get double time, but we do get 4 hours extra pay... and we get days off in lieu that we can use at any time.

Yeah, you slice them in half and pull out most of the seeds. You can scrape the inside down to make it have no spice or leave some of the membrane to add some heat depending on your taste.

sliced in half... so not cored out. The bacon keeps everything from spilling out, I guess? The sausage meat is raw or precooked?

Yup, slice the stem off split them longways and scrape them out. A grapefruit spoon works great for that.
Raw sausage and yes the bacon holds it together as long as you wrap them up good.
