DAS Question?

It has been 6 years since we have taken our Autistic son to Disneyland. He was 9 years old last time we tried and it did not go well. He is now 15 and we will be passing through Anaheim and he has decided he wants to go to Disneyland. We are only going for 1 day.

We are going to apply for DAS via video prior to going. My understanding is that we are able to get a pass for whatever ride he wants to go on that allows us to come back to ride the ride in whatever the posted ride wait time is at the time. When we come back to ride the ride where do we go? Is it like a lightning lane pass and we join the lightning lane or do we go somewhere else?

I am trying to figure out if it might work for him as he has huge problems waiting in long lines. He gets upset when we hit a stop light in the car. I'm skeptical that he can handle it but he wants to try so I want to try for him.

Can anyone offer some insight on how it works?

We haven’t used das at DL since 2021 but if it’s anything like wdw (which I believe it is) you would use the app to request the das return time. Then go up to the cast member at ur designated return time (who’s prob holding an iPad) and she’ll most likely let you tap into the ride. Just be aware DAS is more difficult to obtain these days even for those who show real need for it. Once you have a return time in the app and your window opens you go to the lightening lane. Wishing you lots of luck and I hope it works for him.

For rides with LL you will use the LL. For attractions without LL you will check in with the CM at the front of the attraction and they will tell you where to go, it can be different for each attraction.
