Crazy to do 3 split stay for a week stay? *another update I made a decision*

Believe it or not the longer you stay the easier it is and the more relaxed the vacation is. You don’t have to hit every park every day, stay morning to evening, ride every ride. Instead, you can take your time jump on a ride if there’s no line, go back to your room. Enjoy the resort. Leisurely stroll around. Pretty much have fun without any sense of urgency.

We started going 13-15 nights a year starting in 2017. It’s no longer a frenzied vacation….

It’s just a wee bit more expensive. Lol,
I could see how it would give you more time to relax.

Are you Scottish it’s the only time I’ve ever heard someone say a wee bit lol

So a one bedroom villa popped up for grand Floridian that would cover the 3 nights so if I did that and riviera I’d be back to only switching once. Would lose the extra space of a two bedroom.

So if I switch to the one bedroom I’d be in the master with the baby who has taken to cosleeping lately with me, trying to get her back into her pack n play but she’s become a terrible sleeper unless with me. My 3 year old would be on the little pull down bed under the tv and my husband would be on the pull down bed from the wall in the living room. Do those come with sheets on them? We’ve never used either of those beds before, what about pillows? And the night my parents babysit for us to go to Victoria and Albert’s where can they can out since the kids will be asleep earlier, the balcony? Will a baby monitor work sitting out there I’d assume so since it’s not very far away. Can you get into the master and living separately from the balcony if the baby wakes up but my 3 year old is still sleeping and they need to go into her.

Doing it this way does solve the problem of a lot of rooms and saves money since it’s cheaper than the 2 bedroom at wilderness too.

Quick question, and I know somewhere it has been already answered, so forgive a repeat, lol. Will Disney transfer your luggage for a split stay? Thanks!

Yes they will. If you have a car though I prefer moving it myself because I know I’ll have access to it immediately. When Disney moves it it can take a long time to get

I personally don't like split stays, I don't like the in between day and not having a room between 11-4.

As above, yes. However, they will not transfer anything that needs to be kept cold or frozen, whether it be food or medication. You have to bring it to the new resort yourself, and then they’ll store it appropriately.

Also, be aware that luggage they transfer might not be available to you until late afternoon (4 PM or even later), even if your room is ready beforehand, so keep with you anything you might need such as medication, swim gear, etc. Or transfer all of it yourself in the morning so you can pick it up from Bell Services when your room is ready.

Does a 1bd have a pull down under the TV in GFV? I always thought 1bds were king + queen couch Murphy?

The kings were always big enough for my, DH and baby ;). Actually, we still cosleep with our 11yr old lol

I think all the one bedrooms have the queen pull down from the wall. The ones I’ve been in have at least so if I’m wrong please tell me lol.

Hubby can’t sleep in bed with me and the baby while she’s cosleeping he sleeps too deeply so I’d be worried about him rolling around.

Yes, there is a pull down couch but there’s no pull down Murphy by the tv in a 1bd, only in a studio (if that makes sense)? Maybe I read your post wrong?

I thought you said that you and baby would sleep in the king, hubby in the pull down queen murphy, and daughter in the pool down under the TV in the 1bd. I guess I was a little confused and did not think there was a hole down Murphy under the TV in a one bed….

This is the queen pulling down and this is the twin I think under the tv. Aren’t they both in a one bedroom? The room says it sleeps 5 adults. These photos are on the website under a one bedroom

Yes, the 1-bedroom at Grand Floridian does sleep 5, exactly as shown here. King bed in bedroom, Murphy queen in living area, and a pull-down twin under the living area tv.

Not all 1BRs have the queen wall bed. AKV does not, nor does OKW. BLT is being renovated now and will probably get them. Some BRV 1BR on the top floor don't due to ceiling height and a few BWV 1BR standards did not have them a while back (possibly due to supply chain issues).

I meant all the grand Floridian one bedrooms having them. Since that’s the one I need to choose now between downsizing to that or keeping our two bedroom copper creek room

Well it’s a moot point my parents won’t babysit the kids when we go to Victoria and Albert’s if we are in a one bedroom and no where for them to be when kids are asleep. So back to either 3 resorts or just wilderness lodge and riviera dilemma
