If you've eaten there, I'd like to know what you really think about this restaurant and what you ate. I'm going to try it with DH and want to get some opinions. Thanks!

I really enjoyed and will be going back a second time next week and I am paying OOP.

It seems that the whole Fish Pan-roasted is the best thing on the menu.
I have spoken to a lot of folks down here this week and the reviews have been mixed.

I really enjoyed the meal, but others have stated that the meat was over cooked at that things were tasteless and dry.

Also just to be fair I am NOT a fan of Cat Cora, so that is not swaying my opinion as it may some.

I have posted this previously but here is what I had:
I had the Roasted Pepper and Chickpea Soup to start. I found it average. I think I would like to have had it spiced up a bit. The broth was like a standard minestrone with a bunch of chickpeas. The hummus was very plain. I would like to have had garlic and fire roasted peppers in the hummus.

Next I had the whole fish. The fish of the day was a 2lb red snapper. I got the feeling that the fish of the day will always be red snapper, but not as large. My waiter stated that they were shooting for about a 1 pound fish. This fish is served with with Braised Greens, Greek Olives, Fennel, and Smoked Chili. I was very impressed with this dish.
I would recommend sharing this and getting an additional side it is extremely large. If you are on the DDP I would recommend one of you order this and the other order the Kouzzina Sampler and share it, just check the size of the fish with the waiter first.
It was just too much food.
Also as a side note as stated it is a whole fish from head to tail. If this bothers you they will deal with it. The will also filet the fish for you. Also make sure you eat the cheek and the eye of the fish, you really do not want to miss out on those two very small and tasty parts.

I also ordered a side of the Sautéed Brussels Sprouts with Capers and Lemon. They were excellent.

I was also slightly disappointed with the dessert. I had the Loukoumades - Freshly Made Greek Doughnuts drizzled with Warm Honey . They tasted as if they had been freshly made about an hour before and then reheated. I was expecting something like fresh hot beignets like they have at Pat O'Briens in Universal.

I ended with an espresso. Although they ground there own coffee I do not think they use an espresso roast bean so I found the coffee to be almost as bad as Nescafe.

Overall I would recommend the place especially if you are on the DDP.

We had breakfast there around a month ago. Very good and will be certain to return. :wizard:

The cheek and the EYE???????:scared1: I am not a picky eater at all but this is where I draw the line! My one rule when eating is that I do not want a whole carcass of any kind on my plate. This also applies to lobster, which I love, by the way.

Thanks for the information everyone. We missed the opening by a couple weeks and looked foward to going on our next trip.

We were there last week and, IMO, was the best dining experience of our entire week. (We were on the dining plan). My dh ordered the lamb with the kouzzina potatoes (he didn't want to try the gigante beans). I ordered the pastitsio-I didn't like the taste that much but our excellent waiter-Dan from Croatia said send it back and get something else. So, I got the lamb (I had tried my dh's and it was melt in your mouth). My kiddos, 4 and 7, had pizza and dessert pizza. They said it was good. They serve bread too with some butter with black salt on it. It was very tasty and we got two baskets. My kids didn't like the look of the black salt, so our waiter offered to fix them up some olive oil. The kids enjoyed this very much. We also got an order of saganaki for an appetizer (paid OOP). There were two huge pieces of cheese and when we squirted the lemon on them, it was divine. It came with a couple of crusty pieces of bread. For dessert, my dh and I both ordered the galactobourkos (sp?). Its a custardy cake with layers of phyllo. It was served with a scoop of vanilla praline gelato. This was amazing! I love greek food and this meal was just the best of the week for us. The service was the most outstanding service I've ever experienced at Disneyworld over 5 trips.

Thank you everyone for your input. I do believe this will be on our "to do list" of restaurants. Each trip I try to find some place different for DH and I to go to. We were fans of Spoodles and was wondering about the new establishment. :)

The only place we ate with better food was Jiko and the only place with better service was Narcoossee's.

We had the saganaki and shared the Coranation sauvignon blanc half-bottle, DH had the lamb and baklava, I had the fisherman's stew and galaktoboureko. Oh and we both got pomegranate lemonade as our non-alcoholic beverage. Everything was great except that I learned I don't like saganaki (I'd never had it before ... it was clearly really well done, and the taste was nice, but I don't think I'd order it again).

We went during the soft opening in Aug. and loved it. We were big fans of Spoodles and were so happy this was go good. We had the carmalized onions and olives on flatbead for an appetizer and our two 20-somethings had the greek salad and said its the best they have had. Our son had the whole fish, hubby had the lamb and our daughter and myself had the lasagna and everything was a big hit. By the time we were done we were too stuffed for desert. We had great service also. We actually had the same waiter that we have had on two past occasions at Spoodles. We will definitely be going back on our next trip.

No offense but I take Kevin's reviews with a grain of salt. He has had some great reviews that I agree with, as well as crappy ones that I also agree with. But we LOVED Kouzzina. My mom was born and raised in Greece and I grew up on the food. We both said this was the best meal of the trip after Citricos. Loved the pastitso and the lamb shank. Spiros salad and spanakopita were both very good. The loukoumades were some of the best we've ever had. Amazing service too.

Didn't blow me away. DW seemed to like it, I'd give it another shot:earsboy:

We had breakfast there shortly after the opening. For a true foodie or even a person who loves good food, they will find is boring and under seasoned. Poor service on top of that makes for a meal no one at our table would return for.

Skip it and find someplace better to eat.
