Our subscription is due in a few weeks. $170. In "22" , we paid half the price. $84.79.

We hardly watch it. Mostly for grandkids.

Has there been black friday or Christmas deals in the past?

We started at Day One with $80, last year was $140, it renews this week for $160.
I debated cancelling as well.
My Southwest credit card has an offer for 15 percent off so we decided to go one more year.
The increases are crazy.
I only keep it for my grandkids at this point.

I do miss that original price when I locked in my first three years - that was great! Still, for me, I use the service enough (a LOT actually), so it's still worth it - and it needs to make a profit. My only real complaint is that there are still some catalog titles that are missing. They need to be on there - no excuse!

I'd dump Netflix before I'd dump Disney+ even if I don't watch it every day.

There is no way I'd pay that much for a single service. Prime is $140, but at least you get free two day shipping on most items.

Check the Hulu bundle. We pay around $80-90, get Hulu Live plus ESPN/Disney (with ads).

I got Hulu and Disney+ for $2.99 plus tax last November. I went to cancel before it renews later this month. To keep me from canceling, I was offered both for $5.99 plus tax for six months. I accepted, lol!
That was with commercials? If so, was there an option for no commercials? That's a great price.

Yes, that is with ads. I don't remember if the ad free option was available. Agreed, great price!

Don’t grandchildren have access to it anywhere they are via parents’ account?
If my grands were visiting and had no other access, I’d signup for the month and then shut it off again.
Of course I haven’t replaced the TV that died a year or so back so what do I know? Psst…it’s the 21st century use your home computer for watching whatever 😆.

I guess that's true, not sure. They visit about every other month, so wouldn't be much, if any savings.

Personally I feel like all the streaming services have been pretty mediocre for the last few months.

I would cancel them but I get them for free from various deals.
Disney+ I find very little worth watching.
Hulu - similar - but there are a few shows that I have no other way to watch since I don't have any sort of cable tv or general TV service.

Netflix - cant recall the last thing I watched - my kids like it though and we have the with add plan so there are a few movies I cant watch.

Paramount+ with Showtime - very little - maybe a couple of things every month or two - need to drop the showtime option when my current discount deal is up.

Prime- pretty slim pickings as well - but it comes with Prime shipping which is somewhat worthwhile.

Peacock - the occasional new film - but nothing great.

I do pay for HBO/Max - but when this current 6 month deal is over Ill be dropping it - there is very little new stuff on their.
I'll add it back in a few months when there is a special offer as I'd like to watch the new Dune series and the rest of Penguin - but its not worth keeping the service for those.

I also did a free month of YouTube Premium and its pretty good to not have the ads but I still feel it is way overpriced.

I’d ask the parents. If they can access Disney+ using the grands tablets, laptops or phones that’s a big savings for you.

$170 a year is less than $15 per month, which is the equivalent of 2 movie theater tickets. It's also much less than 1 day at a Disney park for 2 people. So although I'm not thrilled with the rapid price increases, I still see value in Disney Plus.

If it's just me watching, I can use a tablet, but watching with my husband I appreciate using the TV. I've tried streaming from my tablet to the TV, but that makes it more difficult to pause or rewind.

We rarely watch Disney + if ever.
If the price goes up much more we'll dump it and dump Apple TV too.

Didn't renew our annual passes either.

Way too much free streaming to pay for much more.

I do miss that original price
I was also a three-year lock-in, and kept renewing the annual plan. Mine expires tomorrow. I am going to let it roll off, as I've not been watching it lately. Too much other things that I am doing---most of which is not watching TV in any form. I'm a Fubo subscriber mostly due to football season, but once that ends I am considering cutting way back on streaming services.

I think my subscription started out at $8.95 a month now I’m paying $16.95 a month and hardly watch it thinking of stopping but have kept for Disney room discounts.
