I realize you can't bring a bottle into the park but could you bring those tetra pak of wine into either epcot or studios for Iluminations or while wating for fantasmic.

Prohibited Items

The following are not allowed to be brought into the Disney Theme Parks:

* Items with wheels, such as wagons, skateboards, scooters, inline skates, shoes with built-in wheels, two-wheeled or three-wheeled conveyances, strollers larger than 36" x 52", suitcases, coolers, or backpacks with or without wheels larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (coolers required for medication may be stored in a locker or at Guest Relations), and any trailer-like object that is pushed or towed by an ECV wheelchair or stroller
* Alcoholic beverages
* Weapons of any kind
* Folding chairs
* Glass containers (excluding baby food jars and perfume bottles)
* Pets (unless they are service animals)
* In Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park (for the safety of the wildlife), balloons, straws and drink lids are not permitted. Note: they now have biodegradable paper straws.

Each Park individually has an on-premises liquor license. So it is not only a violation of Disney Policy to bring in alcoholic beverages, but also a violation of Florida Law.

Why can't you bring in your own alcohol - well, because there is a legal drinking age that needs to be enforced, and if you can bring in your own booze, then it is more difficult to control who is drinking (and how much!)

I wouldn't want to drink wine from a tetra pack anyway. Just personal pickiness. ;)

A few years ago I saw a woman drinking a beer in MK. Obviously security didn't check her cooler too thoroughly. The in park security was ON her as soon as they noticed.

Why not just grab a drink at one of the WS countries?

Besides, you can just hop on the ol' monorail, zip over to the CR, get a buzz on at the bar, and fly back over to MK for the rest of the afternoon...

So true. Couldnt say it better myself :thumbsup2

Can you bring alcohol into a restaurant, bar or night club? I mean really! It is a business. They want you to buy theirs.

:lmao:

OP, there is plenty of alcohol to be purchased in both Epcot and DHS.

Every country in the World Showcase offers interesting adult beverages. You can get Moosehead on tap from an outdoor vendor in Canada or Beck's on tap in Germany. :drinking1 Mexico has a drink stand with frozen margarita's, but if you want wine, both Italy and France sell nice ones from both outdoor carts and inside stores. You can even buy bottles of wine there to take back to your resort.

Inside the stadium for Fantasmic, vendors come right to your seat to sell bottled beer and there's a drink stand up near the entrance. (Warning--get in the queue early if you want to buy something from the stand; it gets mobbed before showtime. I'm pretty sure they sell single sized bottles of wine there.) The best bar inside any WDW park IMO is the Tune-In Lounge inside the Studios. It's located in between the Hollywood & Vine and Primetime Cafe restaurants. The atmosphere is fun, the bartenders are a hoot and it's well air-conditioned. :)

I used to work in a bar (in the not too distant past...) and one night a guy brought his own bottled beer in. When I caught him, he stood there tyring to convince me that I sold it to him... we didn't carry his brand in stock. When I told him that, he argued with me for another 5 minutes. I eventually had to throw him out for the night when he wouldn't let it go. :sad2:

IMO, it's just not worth it to fight it. I'm sure there are ways around it... another inside bar drink was "whatever you do... DO NOT Rob's Gatorade!" One of my coworkers was playing co-ed softball with Rob and was thirsty, grabbed Rob's drink and gagged due to the high alcohol content. Granted they were in a public park, which again, booze are not allowed.

OP, if you are really wanting your specific kind of wine, no one is going to stop you from sneaking it in if you put it in something else. Do I think it's right? Not really. Do people do it? I'm sure there are a lot of "fun flasks" out there. If you decide to break the rules, I wouldn't advertise it. You have to be responsible for your decision and be willing to face the consequences if your adventure turns south. You're an adult, and you can choose what you want to do.

Good luck.

P.S. - the names in the aforementioned stories have been changed the protect the not-so-innocent. :goodvibes

And to add to this - because each park has their own liquor license, you cannot take any alcoholic beverages OUT of the park with you either. So no getting a beer to drink on the bus ride back to the resort. You will have to finish it before you go through the exit turnstiles.

You're right about the Good Luck. I went into EPCOT a few years ago with a bottle of water that I had added drunk mix to. The security lady at the gate made me open it and she took a sniff to make sure it wasn't alcohol. Needless to say from that point on I only took sealed water bottles and added the drink mix after I got into the park. I really didn't appreciate having her nose that close to my bottle. So if you are carrying a container of any kind, security can and does check occasionally, so you may get caught.
