"Bounceback" offer??

I have hears others talking about getting a bounceback offer while they are on vacation staying onsite. How does an offer like this work? Does everyone get a bounceback offer? DH and I will be there for 2 nights in early May, and might consider "bouncing back" later in the summer w/ DD for a longer trip if we were offered...

there's usually a flyer sitting on the table or dresser in your hotel room...last year, it was shaped like a giant pocket watch (like the rabbit's watch in Alice in Wonderland) and said Pick a Date Before It's Too Late. If there's no flyer, call the desk and ask if there is a bounceback offer. (sometimes it's on one of the Disney resort channels on your t.v., too)

Basically, the bounceback offer will tell you what the offer is (ours was for free dining, because we were there during free dining) but often it's for a percentage off, like 20% off values, 30% off mods & deluxe and as much as 40% off villas. The offer will tell you which dates it is available to book.

You have to call the number before you check out...that's the catch!

So do you just make a deposit for the bounce back date. What if a better deal comes up later, can you cancel and get a refund on your deposit.

Was it 30% off hotel only or the entire package (tickets & dining)?
