Has someone used Shipt(Target) to get grocery deliveries at BLT? Will they bring them to the room if we are there? Do they keep them at bell services? Is it at BLT or contemporary if left?

Yes, I have used Shipt/Target many times. My groceries are delivered to BLT and left with bell services until we arrive. You can pick up your groceries or ask for them to be brought up to your room for a small fee (+ tip).
I usually place my order the night before requesting delivery the next day (morning of our arrival day).
I recommend selecting the following Target Store for your Shipt order:
Orlando SW
3200 Rolling Oaks Blvd
Kissimmee, FL 34747-3052
Some Target stores do not carry a large selection of groceries but the Target at 3200 Rolling Oaks Blvd does.

When we stayed at BCV and had an Amazon Fresh delivery (last year), I want to say that BCV charged us like $20 for the delivery/package service. Does that not happen at BLT?

I’m actually trying to set up a Target/Shipt delivery at BCV but was searching old threads to see if somebody had already asked the question. Thank you @cellomom for the tip on the best Target store.

Disney has one rule for packages and a different rule for grocery delivery.

I had Target deliver to BCV in September. They left the bag at Bell Services in the Beach Club (not the BCV building). I picked up the bag at Bell Services and took it back to my room. There was no charge.

If Bell Services had delivered it to my room, there would have been a charge of $6.

Pre-COVID, if you stayed at a Disney hotel which had a Convention Center, and if you had something shipped to you via UPS or FedEx, your delivery went to the Convention Center. Those hotels are Yacht & Beach Club, Coronado Springs, Grand Floridian, BoardWalk and Contemporary. The Convention Center business office charged a fee. The fee was based on the weight of the package.

I don't know if packages are still going to the convention center. I had a package shipped to me at BoardWalk resort by FedEx in September of 2023. I mentioned it to Bell Services. Bell Services brought it up to my room along with my luggage. There was no charge.

(I am talking about charges from Disney or the convention center. I am not talking about tips. If you have Bell Services bring something to your room while you are in it, what you choose to tip is up to you.)

P.S. Caution re signing up for a free trial of Target delivery:
if you don't remember to cancel by the end of the free trial period, it turns into a one-year subscription and you will be charged for the entire year on the day the free trial ends. It does not turn into a one-month subscription.

Packages still go to convention center. We forgot Nespresso pods last month and ordered then from Amazon. Since we were at BCV, the pods got delivered to the YC convention center.

@HyperspaceMountainPilot - we use Shipt/Target for every WDW and DL trip. Each time it works out great - the shoppers do a great job, they text us a list of how many bags/parcels they left with bell services and how many frozen or in fridge, and bell services always is great about delivering to our room. They have to bring our owners lockers to us anyways and our grocery order is usually pretty big so we don’t pick up the groceries ourselves. Highly recommend!!

In case it helps anybody else— I went back to look at my folio from BCV last year and there was a $30 charge for packages delivered by Amazon (I think there were multiple packages) and a $6 grocery fee, I’m assuming we had them delivered to the room. Just wanted to clear it up, but I’m still not sure if that $30 was because our order came in multiple boxes or if that is the standard fee.

Make sure you have complete correct address for any DVC Resort on order and note arrival date on any package you might be sending !

I was thinking for Shipt it shouldn’t matter as long as it is my check in day or later? I’m actually not certain how to fill out the address because it won’t give you a second street address line. 😵‍💫

We just put both my name and my husband’s names on the recipient line (we have different last names) and then the resort address. I assume the Shipt shoppers do a lot of Disney deliveries plus they communicate really well via text (we generally have WiFi on our flights).

We’ve been doing WDW grocery delivery since 2008, first using Garden Grocer and then Shipt. We used Kroger once too. I can only remember 1 time where a bag (our grocery orders are usually big because of water and Gatorade so a lot to keep track of) got misplaced and couldn’t be found - Shipt ended up redelivering those items.

Using Shipt: I place my order to be delivered on the morning of our arrival day, Bell Services will hold it until you arrive, then you can either have Bell Services delivery to your room for a fee($6) or DIY pick-up
Hope this helps.

This is the address I used and never had any problems:

Delivered to
4600 N World Dr
Disneys Bay Lake Tower
Orlando, FL 32830

Delivery instructions
Please leave order @ "Bell Services" in "Bay Lake Tower" (@disney's Contemporary) w/ name "XXXX" arriving 1/16/24 on all bags. Please if possible use paper bags. questions call XXXXXX.

Thank you, this is super helpful! I don’t see a second address line where I can put the resort name, but great idea to put it in the delivery instructions notes!

Are you using Target app or Target.com?

On Target.com there is "+" symbol for the 2nd line. I can't remember if it is in the app.
What I do remember one option (website vs app) is easier to edit than the other, just don't remember which one😂

$30 just for an Amazon delivery that you pick up at bell services yourself? That seems pretty steep. We did this years ago and I don't recall anything like that..
