My DS12 had a terrible bout of eczema last year. He now sees the dermatologist every 6 months to keep on top of it. It was literally over his ENTIRE body. It was awful. Anyway, the derm prescribed a prescription foam called Hylatopic Plus- we used it until our insurance stopped covering it. Out of pocket would have been over $200. 
I talked to the derm about it, and he told us to use CeraVe, which he says is very similar chemically to the foam, but not in foam form. He gave me some coupons, and they sell it at Walmart. 
Anyway, that's what DS12 uses now. He needs to use it every single day- when he skips (or forgets), his skin starts to get flaky again.
