Hello. My daughter is a Kindergarten Teacher. I’d like to buy her a coil (spiral coils) binding machine so she can make workbooks and books for her students. I want a good one that does many pages at once and coils it with a press of a button. I bought a place cheap one years ago but only punches 3 pages or 1 cardstock at a time. Plus I had to could it by hand.

I also saw a video about the little thermo printers. I would love to hear reviews about those. Any good deals on those.

Plus I’ll give her some gift cards like Panda, Jamba Juice etc

Any other great gift for teachers and classroom gifts?

Personally, I’m not a fan of thermal printing…I notice with receiotsm that the ink disappears after a couple of months.

As far as binding machines…I would stay away from the scrapbooking companies who offer them, as you would probably need something more heavy-duty.

Two major brands of binding machines are Fellowes and GBC. My recommendation would be, determine your budget, and then look at the models, and go for the best one within your price range, that meets your needs (electric, #of sheets that can punch at one time etc, size of ring-bind that it can accommodate ). I’ve used them occasionally, but probably not in the last 15 years or so, so hopefully this is a bit of info you can get started searching with!

DD is a middle school teacher and she asks her students to please donate to her favorite charities. Homemade food gifts are not a good idea. Gift cards like Starbucks, Dunkin, etc are good.

My daughter is a teacher and I’m looking to gift her stuff for Christmas. I figured 1-2 items for her classroom that will make her life easier 😊 plus I will be buying her personal stuff like gift cards etc. I just have no idea. She is 25 and still lives at home ( saving for a house). She’s single with no kids and no debt so she has money to buy what she wants or needs. She’s an only child so We still like to spoil her. She’s simple so she doesn’t ever ask for expensive stuff or anything really. Lunch gift cards are good
Panda
Starbucks
Amazon

She likes buying things for her students. She buys on a temu and amazon. I doubt Temu has gift cards

I saw an electric crayon sharpener at my kid's preschool and I thought that was an amazing idea.
If she's a new teacher, a system to use as student mailboxes might be useful (I would ask for input first.)

Have you considered a comb binder? It's easier to remove/reorder pages and they tend to be less expensive.

One of the functions within my department is a copy center. We usually coil by hand because while we have TWO heavy duty coil binders, its faster and easier to do it by hand. When we have 100, we sit around together and bind.

I recommend games and activities for indoor recess, a set of pens, a sticker subscription, and I also like the books and plushies that Kohl’s carries.

Now I'm intrigued by the electric crayon sharpener idea. Is it different from a pencil sharpener? Is there a particular model which people like?

And what is a sticker subscription?

The sticker subscription: I’ve purchased a subscription to Pipsticks in the past but there might be other sticker subscription companies available too.
