OK... what do we really know about the "Be Our Guest Restaurant", :welcome: to be located in "The Castle of The :chewy: Beast", part of Fantasyland Expansion....:rainbow:

Is it too much to ask for it to be open for my Sept 2012 vacation?? :confused3 I'll be pretty disappointed if it isn't, but most signs are pointing to a Fall 2012 opening, most likely putting me out of the running :sad1: And my next vacation probably won't be until our honeymoon!! :sad2:

The one thing we know..... they won't serve alcohol.

Lol that doesn't seem as weird to me... What does seem very strange is they are making a place called Gastron's Tavern. I'm sorry but you know how people on here talk about how someone walked around MK trying to find where they can get a Beer? Well having two places with the word Tavern is not going to help.

That is actually funny. I had a good chuckle when I first heard of it. TBH I have never really cared about no alcohol at MK and don't even notice it but I can imagine those who don't know about the policy being totally confused ;)

They are going to have special magical food which will taste wonderful, have no calories, and will be able to be tolerated by people with any conceivable food allergy. And even though you will feel stuffed when you leave, you will have no weight gain.

I'm not bothered by the no alcohol in the MK policy either. However, what would bother me is if Be Our Guest ends up being a French restaurant (which at one point it was rumored to be, which would make sence since BatB takes place in France). I have never heard of a French restaurant the didn't serve wine. I am not a wine drinker, but out of principle that would really bug me.

We know next to nothing about Be Our Guest except that there was a report on a DIS blog that it would be TS at dinner and CS at lunch. No way to tell if that means the same restaurant will serve CS food at lunch and TS food at dinner, or if the TS restaurant will be closed for service until evening and will provide extra seating for a nearby or attached CS restaurant. Also, rumors that dinner will involve characters somehow - but we don't know if those will be costumed or animatronic (like Remy at Chefs de France) characters.

Oh, and no alcohol. (I deal with that by eating dinner outside the Magic Kingdom, or hitting one of the monorail resort lounges)

We know nothing at this point and all signs point to a late 2012 opening for the first phase of the FLE.

I can see it now....a family who has never been to Disney with a dad that doesn't want to even be there, but has to because he was forced by the rest of the family, just wants to get a nice ice cold mug of beer while DW and the kiddos go and ride Dumbo. He goes to LTT to find out that there is no mug o' beer there, then decides to try out Gaston's Tavern (I mean common, in the movie that is all they are doing is drinking beer and having a good ole time ), then he steps in and....bummer :furious:

If it's open, he can get even more furious by trying out Tortuga Tavern (used to be El Pirata y El Perico but is now a pirate tavern with no rum.)
