Any numbers akin to a "guest services" number

I will not go into details - but due to an error on the part of Disney Gift card - they reversed all of my transactions from several days ago which resulted in the cancellation of all of my LLSP and LLMP for next week. And at this point - cannot get them back anywhere near times that make it worth going for that short trip. I have a feeling guest services at the park would help when I get down there as they're usually good with stuff like this but it's just not worth the risk of even taking this trip without knowing.

I've spoken with the internet help desk (which is where I seem to keep being routed to) but they can't do much beyond assist me in booking what is available on the app. There are so many Disney numbers each with so many menu options when you call - any suggestions of the best number to call who will have someone that might have some solution or able to help more? Something akin to what guest services in the parks are?

It's bad enough that everything on my gift card for the trip is frozen right now and the gift card help has been incompetent (they keep wanting to tell me to call Disney or Disney Visa which has nothing to do with it) and any further escalation has to be by email which they said takes 5 business days . . . but now with all the LL cancelled - just doesn't seem worth even going . . .

Why did they reverse all the charges? Was is random or did something happen with your GC? I paid with a GC for next week and this makes me very nervous.

Hopefully someone has a number you call. Until then my ideas would be guest services in person when you get there, which I know is a risk. Are you staying on property? Maybe the hotel manager can help you out so you can still make your visit.

I just bought LLMP/LLSP for next week 04/17-04/20 and as of last night the availability was still really really good so there is a chance if you rebuy you will still get decent times.

I actually still on hold with Disney Gift Card now . . . even the top level people there seem really confused. They said it was "flagged as potentially fraudulent" which considering the purchases were LLSP and LLMP on the Disney App just sounds ridiculous.

Disney was able to rebook me for my DHS LL for Wed and the Guardians SP but could not recover my Tron SP. We're at Dolphin so hopefully can ride standby during extra hours Wed.

Thursday they could do almost nothing for us that wouldn't completely screw up our day. I actually just cancelled Thursday at Disney so we'll just do one long day on Wednesday and actually just bought tickets to the first day of soft opening of Epic Universe for Thursday.

I agree that sounds ridiculous if it's your MDE app being used. Im sorry, I would still escalate this further up the chain. Hopefully someone has info. It might still be worth going to Guest Services to see how they can help compensate you, you shouldn't have to have all this stress just planning your Disney trip.

It's not ridiculous at all, gift cards are basically cash you have to prove there yours if there flagged. If you can't then your basically out of luck.

Id think that you should be given a chance to prove before they cancel someone's lightning lane purchases. Also not sure about OP but most people have a Disney Gift Card login to combine cards and that email matches the email within MDE so I still say its ridiculous.

I'm trying to understand what you are trying to resolve with Disney?

Here are the list of numbers on the Disney website. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/en_CA/help/phone/
Ideally - someone who can either help restore the purchases they cancelled or provide some sort of flexible LL to use. The people I spoke to were limited to doing whatever was just available on the system (which I could have done myself) and said their dep't can't do anytime passes or whatever they're called.

People I got on the phone said go to guest services in the park when you get there to see what they can do. Well - considering what happened, I don't want to even go into a park if they're not going to be able to do anything. 7-8 years ago we had an issue with something and someone from guest services by email was able to arrange some flexible fastpasses because they weren't able to recover the specific times we had due to a glitch. I was hoping to reach someone who had the power to do something similar in advance since they should be able to see everything we had that was cancelled by Disney. This is far too expensive for someone to say just gamble on what they'll do if you go.

Yes - I have an online account and this card has been linked using the same email as my MDE account for years with no problem. I've had cards get flagged before for things like large electronic purchases at stores not near my house or similar things that are out of the ordinary. But Disney flagging a transaction using a Disney Gift Card registered on the Disney Gift Card website on the Disney App for Lightning Lane purchases? I mean seriously . . . And even with those other flags - I get a text from the CC company asking if it was a legitimate purchase. And it gets flagged immediately and denied. It doesn't go through and then 5 days later they just reverse the transaction with no warning.

I really don't think it's an unreasonable ask here for them to offer something to help with the day. The whole point of spending extra money to stay on site this time was because I knew what the crowds would be next week. Feel like the rug was pulled out from under me. And to do it after 4 days . . . .

How did you find out? Did you just notice the LL were no longer there? You may want to ask in GC thread, maybe someone there has info to a higher up at DGC. https://www.disboards.com/threads/new-disney-gift-card-deals-and-more.3952573/page-224#post-66090399

Last night I got six emails in quick succession each reflecting a refund of the LL purchases to the Disney Gift Card. And then when I tried to see if I could repurchase a LLMP - discovered that the card was frozen. I just can't believe that Disney Gift Card services has no ability to even look into what happened. Just an email address to send questions to.

Thanks for the referral to the thread. Will check it out. I also found an email in an old Disney folder from seven years ago where they set up some LL in advance from me. I emailed that to see if it's still the same dep't although after seven years who knows.

Hoping that the old email is someone who can help.

Adding cards to your MDE account or combing them on Disney proves nothing. That only proves your in possession of the card number to put them in, how did you get those cards or numbers? Let say I bought them off ebay because I found a good deal, does that make them not potentially fraudulent because I added them to MDE?

Gift cards are the most fraudulent form of payment per the FTC, last year accounted for almost 250 million dollars. Companies are going to be extra cautious so they don't lose money.

This wasn't a purchase on the shopDisney for a Dooney and Burke handbag, this was for a LL which directly impacts someone's vacation happening within a week. Disney 100% could have not cancelled the LL's.

"Extra Cautious" means if you have concerns about a transaction - then DENY IT INITIALLY!!!! Had they done that I'd just have given another form of payment. Extra cautious is not approving the transaction and then flagging it 5 days later and cancelling all of my lightning lanes without any form of notice since they have all of my contact info in my account.

100% agree.

As someone who is always sitting on at least $3,000 in gift cards, if you ever find out exactly what caused this occur I would be very grateful to know.

Sorry this has happened. Regarding above — WDW used to give out FP as “guest recovery” quite often for a large variety of issues. Since the shift to LL it has been fairly rare; instead they tend to give refunds now when a guest has a problem. I honestly don’t know that you’ll get much assistance before arrival but it’s worth trying.

That sounds like someone else reported a stolen card, or had trouble loading funds but had proof of purchase. Do you still have the proof of purchase? Or was this a gift card number you had left on your Disney Gift Card account? Unfortunately there have been reports of info stolen from cards left on the account. I know they’ve tightened up security for that platform but it’s still not foolproof. After combining cards be sure to remove everything.

No proof of purchase because this card is really a card I just use to load money from other cards. So there are funds probably from 3-4 different cards on there. I always delete empty cards right after I transfer the money to be safe. I'm so paranoid of cards I buy from stores even that I immediately transfer them over to my other cards but perhaps someone got a number and Disney somehow traced the funds to having been transferred to my new card. With not a single person at Disney Gift Card to talk to - hard to tell . . .

It sounds like you are doing everything right. I’m shocked this is happening

It sounds like your old card number that you stored on the gift card website was stolen. Maybe re-sold and that buyer has proof they purchased it. Consolidating gift cards is a good idea — until it isn’t. Remove ALL cards from that website; do not store them there with balances. You aren’t the first to have a similar issue with stolen gift card numbers, and it becomes a he said/she said situation. Disney will side with the proof unless you can show something to counter that. I feel really badly that you are dealing with this and unfortunately it may not resolve as you’d like.
