Any Disney Pin Fanatics

Our youngest daughter really got into Disney pin collecting when younger (She is now 40). She loved to trade pins with cast members when we were at the World. We even went to Pin collecting events at EPCOT in the fall for a few years. Standing in line for an hour or so to pick one pin off a board was not my style so I would check out after a couple of rounds. She would attend all the announcement events and do a preorder for a lot of pins. We have some nice framed pins from these events. GenEARation with a print of the castle and 5 castle pins and Pixar Party are my favorites.
Any other pin fans out there.

I really enjoy pin trading. I mostly trade away pins that belong in that park, and look for pins that "belong" in another park. For instance, if I'm in the Magic Kingdom, I'll bring all my princess pins and if I see any Figment pins, I'll trade for them to bring to Epcot with me. It's a great way to strike up a conversation with other CMs and sometimes guests, adult and child. On my last trip a little boy wearing a lanyard with pins was whining to Mom that he couldn't find anyone to trade with. I keep my pins in a little pouch in my purse, but I asked him if he'd trade. Afterwards, Mom thanked me with as much (or more) enthusiasm than he did.

We were last at Disney World in 2015. We picked up more pins. DH has quite a few "dragon" pins ( need two pin holders for all his pins). Dd has a whole bunch of pins. So did I, however, I can't find my ones (boo-hoo). Had some really nice eyeore pins.

I used to do it a lot......then only did special ones.
Now I don't do it at all and wonder what to do with all my pins. (no one else in the family has any interest).

My sister and I love pin trading! We got started back about 2016 and really enjoy it. We only make it down to Disney Springs about once a year and always look forward to trading with CMs there. We do a lot of trading by mail through PinPics and also the virtual trade arcades on Pin & Pop. Is your daughter on either of those sites? Maybe we've traded!

This year is Disney's official "Celebration of 25 Years of Disney Pins", which is exciting. They're going to have lots of pins released for the anniversary!

My daughter was on pin pics for keeping track of her pin collection and values. she wrote her own data base program to build a data base of her pins. She is disabled and is not actively collecting any more.
