Another lovely day in Oklahoma. . .

Our first snow this morning. A Bluejay came right up to my window (recliner on the other side) looked in at me for a while. All I can share though are it's footprints in the snow, and yesterday's breakfast feast!

Ugh!! Our refrigerator's freezer decided to stop working, and I spent the second part of my morning batch cooking, brought back memories when I did that by choice!

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Seasons Greetings to all! This is our third Christmas with a child under our roof again, and still believing in Santa, so we went all-out with the stockings, gifts, and excitement! It's been a low-key day so far, which is what we all need after the confusion of the end of the semester and the excitement of the approaching holidays. DD made short ribs for dinner, and they are braising away in the oven while DD, SIL, and the 8 year old are playing with some new Christmas toys. We have had a wonderful Christmas, and hope you are having a wonderful holiday, too!

Thanks for checking in leebee! DGDs are out of town with their father today, but they'll be here tomorrow which is going to be our "Christmas" this year.

DD cooked a big turkey dinner yesterday, preparing a beef tenderloin tomorrow. I think there's enough food here for at least a couple of weeks.

Just facetimed with the grandchildren. Daddy (my DS) let them have his phone. I feel like we just got off several rides at WDW. They're 6 and 7 and haven't totally figured out phone maneuvers yet.

But it was great.
