I’m super excited, I think I may be doing this tour solo in July.

I’m curious what might be the better time slot? The 9am or the noon tour?
Also, anyone know why the tours are different lengths?
The early one is 9am-noon
The other one is noon-2pm

The tour won't be that long. Those are timeframes for the start of the tour. When you go to book, you'll choose one of those options and the actual tour start times will pop up for you to choose.

Ahhhh I see! Thank you
I had to take it a step further and click on the morning in the afternoon button separately to see the actual times. Now I see that it’s either at 10 AM noon or 2 PM.

Now I’m still wondering if one time is better than another for any reason that might not be known having not have done it before

And how long do you get on the outdoor terrace? Can you take pictures from above from there?

I haven't taken that particular tour. The other tours I have taken were better in the morning, only because it was easier to keep the group together and walk through the massive crowds in the park than in the afternoon.

Hoping anybody that’s done this tour in the past six months or so can chime in and let Me know their thoughts on if a certain tour time is better?

And also about the outdoor terrace. Thanks!

Oh this is always something I am interesting in knowing! I really want to do this, but I think I will do it just the 2 adults. I dont think our 2 kids(16 & 7) will really appreciate it as much. I am not joking I am tempted to do it just solo because I am the one that is going to like it the most LOL But I need someone to take pics of me!

I’m doing it solo

My husband and daughter just don’t have the same energy about it and so why spend the money on something that’s lost on them. They don’t see the excitement of going in Walt’s apartment. I can’t even comprehend that! 😜

That is me 100% he will tag along & even find it 'interesting' but he isnt going to fangirl like I am. I also am not going to 'waste' money on the kids. Where I know they will be polite etc I also dont think it is a good use of money/time for them. I am actually thinking maybe I should just do it solo. I am betting there would be plenty of other people who will take pics for you!

I went in December and really enjoyed it. We went in the morning which was nice because Main Street was a little less crowded and it was easy to follow the guide and see the details that were pointed out. That said the ride lines are shorter in the morning, so it just depends what’s important to you. We had a great tour guide and stayed out on the patio with the group talking to him for around thirty minutes. Sorry I can’t remember if you could take pictures on the patio or not, but the view is a little obstructed. I hope you have as great of time as we did!

When I went they had a PhotoPass photographer taking photos of everyone in the apartment, so you would be set! I went with a group, but I wouldn’t have felt awkward on my own.

I didnt even think of the Photopass! I seriously am thinking of just going solo, so I can soak it all in and fangirl by myself LOL I dont mind missing out on the rides at all and going in the morning to be able to experience this. He would not judge me at all(or at least out loud!), but I can easily see myself getting all teary eyed if not full on crying. But I know that no one who probably goes on that tour is going to judge me!

This might be a strange question... but I like to be prepared! I know on VIP tours you tip the guides. Do you do that also on the other tours, and if so what is the appropriate amount?

Good question about the tipping!

Sorry, hopefully someone can come along and answer the tipping question. None of the other guests on our tour tipped. I didn’t think about it until the tour was over. The guide made my mom’s birthday so magical that I was going to go back and leave a tip. My googling at them time found conflicting reports on whether this type of tour guide could accept tips, so we just wound up doing cast compliments.
