Well, this might be first (sort of) ticket discount to come
If you book for package stays in 2021 (arriving up to Sept 25th, so not for the 50th) you get 2 extra theme park ticket days added for free
So a way to maintain face value of ticket prices but give "discount" to people that stay on site

Well .. that is a ticket discount like we feel they should be giving out for their lessened offerings. It will probably be needed to draw people back to the parks and especially the overpriced resorts.Well, this might be first (sort of) ticket discount to come

If you stay longer, you don't get free tickets?

But seems very limited --similar to the "buy 4 park tickets for $X but can only visit each park once" deal from a few years back.
Seems like it is mainly meant for the regional guests (like me) that drive down since I guess they are assuming you'd use those extra two tickets on arrival day and departure day? Doesn't really cost Disney anything to give away two tickets that most people will only use for half day and those guests will be spending money on food and last minute shopping!
My normal MO is to drive down part way (even though we could make it in one long day) and stay near Georgia/FL border so only have a 2-3 hour drive and arrive their around lunch to enjoy the resort/Disney Springs. When we had an AP we would use that arrival day to go to a park for the afternoon. We'd probably do the same with this ticket deal. Since the tickets are "free" you don't feel like you are wasting them going to Animal Kingdom for the afternoon/evening.
So I like to take shorter trips (since I am close) . .so I could easily see doing this for a 4 night/3 day trip with two free tickets (especially if they don't start selling APs).
So is it a great deal? For some people like me .. sure .. but in general? probably not .. Disney always has strings attached to its ticket deals it seems.
well it says minimum 4 night stay, maximum 14 night stay, but the ticket is a 5 day ticket (I guess for the price of a 3 day ticket)
not sure how it works if you want more than 5 day park tickets
Oh for sure .. a couple staying at the Contemporary aren't going to save nearly as much money as a family of four staying at the All-Stars or Pop Century. Room discounts on those more expensive rooms will outweigh getting two free tickets.given that it has to be on an undiscounted room it seems more like a "this deal sounds better than it really is"
I mean, I guess for the exact right length trip for a family of 4 staying in All Stars this could be a better deal, but I think for most people you are better off getting a room discount and then having more flexibility in the ticket you get
