**September 2019**

Aug31- Sept 5 trip with my Mom and daughter. Mom lost Dad recently and want to take her away, daughter lives in FL, so a chance for us to all meet up. Kidani Village at AKL for us. Daughter is a DVM
This sounds lovely. I'm sure your mom will have a wonderful time....we loved AKL as it's such a relaxing resort!

Hello everyone!! We are going Sept. 22-28 and staying at POP. We actually just had a trip in November but I talked my husband into going back when the free dining was released. :-) We have never been in September so I am super excited to go to a Halloween party!!

I'm also hoping for a DAH event. I did one in MK this past September and I cannot say enough good things about it. It was worth every penny. But I share your thoughts on AK. I would do MK or HS for sure, but I'd only do AK if I was unable to get FP for FoP. I'm also interested in EMM for HS.

I'm really torn about MNSSHP because I'm going with my husband who has no interest in characters or parades but I love the party so we'll see. He's kind enough to agree to come with me even though Disney isn't his thing so I don't wanna push it lol

I'm also thinking about a private fireworks cruise to surprise DH. I think that's actually something he'd be impressed by. However, it starts at $199 which is kind of steep for one couple imo. I wish we knew another couple to split the cost with but then it wouldn't be so private and as an anniversary trip surprise, I don't think I'd like that. I'm still thinking on this one.
There is a thread on here for that ( splitting a cruise ). You just have to find it

We are really excited, and really scared......

We weren't planning on a trip for a few more years, but when I stumbled across the early release of FD, I made an off the cuff comment to DW and she said why not!! So all seven of us will be joining the party from Sept 9th through the 21st!!! Staying in 2 rooms at All-Star Sports!!

Celebrating two birthdays during the trip and looking forward the longest trip we have ever taken as a family!

Sounds like your family is a lot like ours! We're also a family of 7 staying in 2 rooms at All Star Sports from 9/7 - 9/14! We'll be celebrating 3 birthdays while we're there ~ My oldest is 9/23, My 3 year old is 9/27 and I'm 9/29!

So exciting!

We'll be there from September 7th - September 15th... Grand Floridian Club Level. Can't wait!

:yay:
Hi :) Me and hubs will be at Pop September 8th through 14th. Can't wait !! We rescheduled our December trip out of fear of SWGE crowds. Free dining helped too !!
:welcome:Added to the roll call :goodvibes

This trip will be the first time my family has had the DDP in a few trips now. Last trip we had a cabin and cooked a good deal, trip before that we had QSDP. I'm excited to book some TS and have some nice leisurely, highly air conditioned meals - but I am having a hard time figuring out where we want to eat. We have so many places we want to try again, new places we want to try, and places so new I don't know when they will open or what the menu will be like (the new Space restaurant in EPCOT and the tapas place at Coronado).

Anyone looking forward to trying something new? Returning to a must do? Favorite character meals?

So far all I know for certain is I want to try the new Storybook dining at WL, and DH really wants to go back to Ohana.

I have a lot more maybes than definites  My 11yo really wants TRex - I just think my 3yo might be skittish and I like so many other things at DS. DH wants Y&Y, I am sad the chicken and waffles are gone so am not feeling it. We all loved Boathouse last time we went there, we just have to make visiting POR convenient. I love taking little ones to Chef Mickey but am considering H&V for the F! package. Only problem is we went to H&V once and I disliked it - a lot. Decisions, decisions!!

I was so happy to see this thread for September 2019!! We will be at Pop Century 9/7/19-9/16/19. We promised ourselves we would wait to go again until 2020 to save money but the Sun & Fun offer got me on the website & I just couldn’t stop myself! I said we will never wish we had LESS trips to WDW when we reach the end of our lives lol. Can’t wait for September!!

I really enjoy Tusker House for character dining b/c the gang is in their Safari outfits but definitely check the menu if you have picky eaters. I’m a picky adult but the children’s section of the buffet was delicious in my opinion!

We are booked for 9/25-10/1 at Pop!

By the time this trip rolls around it will have been 2 years since our last one, which is long for us. We were booked for December 2018 with a FD BB from our October 2017 trip but had to cancel because we decided to unexpectedly move and that ate into our WDW money.

I then immediately started planning for May 2019 and even made all the dining at 180, but once they released FD my wife actually suggested we postpone again to save more money and get the DPP.

Never been in September, I’m dreading the heat (I lived there as a kid and do not miss it) but I’m also looking forward to doing a water park for the first time in 9 years!

New things we want to do: Toy Story Land (obviously), Storybook Dining, Hoop Dee Doo (I’m legit embarrassed to say we’ve never done this), either a DAH or EMM, the VR stuff at Springs, and probably more things we haven’t thought of!

I’d also like to take it easier on this trip as I’m normally VERY planned and commando, but that’s usually easier said than done for me :rotfl2:

My kids will be 8, 5 and 3 on this trip. We usually do all character meals plus Ohana. We’re excited to try Storybook Dining at WL as well! I’ll have to figure out when we can go eat there cause there are some character meals that are musts every trip. Our absolute favorites are 1900 Park Fare dinner, Garden Grill, Bon Voyage, Akershus, H&V dinner, Chef Mickey’s brunch. The only character meal we do not do is Crystal palace. We had a horrible experience there 4 years ago and haven’t been back since. I thought about doing the Pixar Play zone for my two oldest and then my hubs and I take our 3 year old to dinner for a ‘mini date’ but I’m not sure.

When my DS2 was born, he was premature and had a lot of health issues. Back and forth to hospitals and doctors for 2 years. He had some tests, scans and such done before our trip this past September. The first day of our trip, we were in MK when I got the call. My son was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. It was a shock but we finally had our answers. It turned out to be my son’s best trip. I’ll never forget when he got to walk up to Mickey and pure joy was on his face. We are all looking forward to being back!

Congrats on the DDP! For me, cooking on vacation means it's not actually a vacation! LOL!
Anyway, if I had the DDP and taking the whole family I'd be doing ALL the character meals. We love Crystal Palace, either breakfast or dinner. Very good and love Pooh and friends. We have done Garden Grill dinner twice, once with a group of 10 and once with a group of 13 and everybody really enjoyed it. Plus, Chip and Dale! Love them! 1900 Park Fair dinner is good and the evil stepmother and stepsisters are a hoot. Remember as a group of 7 you will automatically be charged 18% gratuity which can really add up, especially as character meals are quite pricey.

So what souvenirs are people hoping to get on their trips??

I want to get the Orlando "You are here" Starbucks mug. I have all the current park designs.
Pin from MNSSHP.
Ear hat with my name embroidered on it. Yes, I'm 47 years old...so what?? LOL.
Sweatshirt and t-shirt.
We always get an ornament with the year on it. Usually from the Christmas shop in MK.
The last 2 trips we got a little stone animal in AK. I want another one. They're cheap, too, like $6.
Any mini plush Tsum Tsums I can find. Sure weren't able to find many last year, but maybe there will be something.

What else do I "need"?

We are pin collectors - so for us the "must haves" are the Limited release or Special Edition pins from MNSSHP and Food & Wine Fest.
I think an ornament is high on the list this year too.
My kids are saving their pennies for one big souvenir each - one wants a build-your-own lightsaber, the other wants a banshee.
I kind of want something in the throwback design for the 90th anniversary, but not sure what form that will take yet lol
