DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

I wonder when the kids head off if the moms really miss them or use that as an excuse 'casue they are now stuck alone with the Dad?

Could be. We were together a few years before the first child arrived. Maybe she had enough of me. :scared1:

Glad she had a great time. Personally I am happy the kid is out of the house, maybe because she took the mutt with her. OK, I'll admit it, kind of miss her once in a while.
?

I missed her, but it wasn't near the level of DW. I know I'll miss them some, but leaving home is part of growing up.

How does a Torontonian change a lightbulb?
He holds the bulb and waits for the universe to revolve around him.
.

:lmao:

If he managed like he did at Preston & Everton, yes. If he managed like he did at Sunderland, Man U or Real Sociedad, No. So we've got a 2 in 5 chance. Good odds, eh?

.

Never tell me the odds.

Morning brethren.
Gym hit, Caught up on all the weekend college games (the Clemson/NC was a good one), and its homemade meatballs and pasta for dinner.
Pretty dreary day on the weather front.

Have a good one chaps.

Happy Wednesday. Oil change this morning and then to the office. Tennis tonight.

Been watching all the Saw movies on Netflix and am up to #6. A really interesting idea to have all the movies take place in such a short time span and intertwine all those characters. Of course, maybe they could have solved the crime by doing a search for whoever purchased so many micro-recorders. :lmao: Always a critic.

‘Morning all…
A bit dreary outside today, but at least the headlines aren’t to apocalyptic
(so all in all, it could be worse).

It’s a Canadian thing to joke the Toronto thinks it’s the centre of the universe. I don’t think there’s really any American equivalent.
Shure we do.
We just can’t agree on a single spot.

Depending on where you are, there’s always some other state, city or area where one thinks that the other thinks that they’re superior (when everyone knows that it’s that first place that’s truly saintly).

Nah, he’d just call in the army to do it for him.

I don’t think torontonians will ever live that down
Tanks doing battle against the weather…
Now, why would any place have to worry about being ridiculed for such?

Caught up on all the weekend college games (the Clemson/NC was a good one),
It was… interesting (depending on one’s point of view, of course).
Folks are still fussing about that one out this way, though I’ve got no dog in that fight myself.

We’ll be heading out this weekend to watch a back-water division-II game that ain’t likely to be showing up on anybody’s cable feed. And I expect to enjoy myself mightily.

I'm watching the Tues night game between Akron and Mi-Oh right now. Enjoy your game Rob. Hope to do a college game day in the near future.
Whats the beef with the Clemson game? The laptop thing? I don't get that one.
Shure we do.
We just can’t agree on a single spot.
Hollywood?

Have you ever considered a role in the secret intelligence community. I know a guy. (ahem).

I respectfully disagree...it is obviously WDW. On the Disdads board, no less. <sheesh>
So...
WDW is seen by every other community in the nation as being arrogant, pompous and self-aggrandizing?

Hollywood?
I suspect that similar things could be said for most "capitol" cities
(regardless of what the area may actually be the "capitol" of).

My experience has been that pretty much every city, town or neighborhood sees some other rival city, town or neighborhood and being the antithesis of their image of themselves.
It's more a human failing then a civil one.

Yeah, that and and various other unimportant instances of whining and gnashing of teeth.
Various "cheating/conspiracy " theories, and a lot of recrimination on the general behavior of the fans.
Typical tales full of sound and fury, signifying nothing

So...
WDW is seen by every other community in the nation as being arrogant, pompous and self-aggrandizing?
I wasn't thinking of it in that regard...rather on the grounds of being the hub and activity revolving around it.

Given your definition, I would have to agree it's Hollywood.

Haven't seen any of them.
Kay (DD16) and a couple friends went to see the latest one last night.
They got there, went to a human being for tickets, then went to go in the theatre where the usher asked them for I.D.

Whoops!

Needless to say, she hasn't seen it yet.

My work here is done.

They ID'd them after they sold them tickets? That's a bit shifty.

They did get a refund, but.... all of it could've been avoided
a. if they'd checked the listings before they even went!
b. if the ticket seller had asked up front.

Stay safe and dry. Did it affect your neighborhood?
Cheers buddy. Hope all the flooding is not too treacherous.
Thanks guys, not too bad, some areas worse than others with 6" of rain. My neighborhood is relatively new (17 years old) and our house / street is elevated so we are good but the retention ponds were high covering half way up tress that aint supposed to be in the water. Route to and from work had some high water on the roads but as of today mostly cleared up.

We’ll be heading out this weekend to watch a back-water division-II game that ain’t likely to be showing up on anybody’s cable feed. And I expect to enjoy myself mightily.
Say hi to Max from all of us!

Funny story tonight. Playing doubles with the guys on one court. On the next court, there are two women taking a lesson with the pro. Neither are very good, but one is in her late 20s, athletic in great shape, tight shorts, tight plunging v neck shirt, gold chain, tan, and makeup or eye lash extensions. Did I mention her shirt was tight? She sure did run down every ball with all of her efforts. Now, the funny part. One of the guys is standing at the net, and the other guy throws the ball softly towards him, which slowly rolls right in front of him as he is drooling/ staring at the court next to us. We all just bust out laughing. He looks and goes, what? :lmao:

Speaking of WDW, DW and the dds keep asking about cruises and other locations for vacation. We just spent a week at Destin. What is wrong with them?

Have you ever considered a role in the secret intelligence community. I know a guy. (ahem).

I'm always available for a do nothing, highly paid, telecommuting job.

Well, tickets can be bought online or thru apps, and then people show up to claim them. So, I do get that part of the age thing, but if they bought the tickets there already, then why not ask for id then?

Pictures or it didn't happen.

Looooots of pictures.

No idea. Maybe the ticket sellers aren't trained to ask that? :confused3

'Morning all...
Three down, two to go.

My work here is done.
Since when does anyone around "here" actually work?

Being bright girls I suspect that they knew exactly what the age limit for a slasher film would be, so...
they likely didn't do (a) because and were gambling that no one would be doing (b).

Missed it by that much...

Say hi to Max from all of us!
We'll toss out the additional howdys when we see him on field after the game.
This will almost certainly be his last performance as a member of the POTM.
I suspect that there's going to be a lot of mixed feelings about this one.

What?

Did you say something?

Trying to raid that retirement fund a bit early...
Tell them that if they let you move to Fla. now, then you'll be able to get in-state discounts on cruses and trips and such...

And you didn't take video?

They're spoiled by you?

I've looked for one of those for ages...still haven't found a CEO job.

Morning gents. Busy day today.
