All You Need is The Force, Trust and Pixie Dust! A May 2014 TR -- Updated 11/20

That costume with baby Yoda on Luke's back is super cute - great idea!

That opening act with the Storm Toopers looks hysterical ... love their vacation photos!

Also enjoyed Warrick's Davis' photos with all the stars crotches (well, except Tom Cruise's)

And great picture with the Cantina Band - love when things like that just happen.

LOVE the SWW updates! Howard and I didn't know enough about it to fully enjoy it during our Disneymoon. We were also way too tired to do park open to close. I think Howard would have enjoyed listening to those interviews!

Loved this latest update-you guys really know how to have fun :goodvibes
That is a class pic of you in the band :thumbsup2
Thanks to Dee's encouragement I got brave enough to split some meals on our last trip (I was always afraid of causing offense before) and have to agree it is totally the way to go and more than enough food plus it means we can still mooove after we ear :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

I'm just jumping in today and spent a good portion if my afternoon reading your TR! What a great vacation so far! I can't wait to see how the SWW continues! :)

Great pics from SWW!! Especially the ones with Zam! She's my favorite of the non-main characters and I love seeing pictures of her!

I saw a clip of the Stormtroopers singing "Let it Go" on Facebook. Loved it so much!

Splitting meals is definitely the way to go! If we don't, I never have room for an afternoon snack, and miss out on lots of great treats!!

Baby Yoda!! so cute!!

Looks like a fun show with lots of laughs!! :goodvibes

Hi Missy,

I'm finally caught up with your TR. I love all your Star Wars pictures. The event in the theater looks like it was a lot of fun. I recognize it as the one they now use for the Frozen Sing Along. The Storm Troopers vacation pictures are hilarious. It looks like they are sliding down the kiddie slide at Storm Along Bay. :)

I would love to go to this event. The Star Wars movies have always been a favorite with me.

Love your SWW photos, even if I have no idea who most of these folks are. Though, light up adult beverages and fried chicken and onion rings is something I like the sound of. Gotta say though I was disappointed not to see a single Tanner in the Stars of Saget show ; )

Love the SWW pictures!! I agree with you, the picture with the Modal Nodes is one of the best! We've never seen them where you did. I've always seen them right at Star Tours. Love your recap of the Stars of the Saga show. Did Franklin take pictures off the tv screen or the side big screens?

Thanks! He took pictures of both the center screen and the side screens (they had different stuff on them at different times).

Loved these updates!

Splitting meals is totally the way to go at Disney- portions are so huge and you get to try more things that way.

Woah! The picture of Chewy is AWESOME!

Thanks for sharing all the pictures and info from the Stars of the Saga show.

I have to say I approve of the Stormtroopers resort choice. :lmao:

May I share a couple of the pictures on the FAQ thread? The one of the troopers going down the kiddie slide is hilarious!

The pictures with the roaming characters are great and I can see why you love the ones with the Cantina Band!

:goodvibes

I'm impressed the Storm Troopers were on MDE 180 days out to get a Beaches and Cream ADR! ;)

Of course you can share any of those photos! Just post 'em with a link back to our Facebook page in case people want to see more!

I kinda wish they'd expand the Stormtroopers' act to a full show, it was all pretty hysterical.

Warrick Davis was awesome and he is even more awesome at his own show, which is coming up soon in the TR!

I can understand being a little too distracted for SWW on your DISNEYMOON. Built in excuse. Plus, this gives you an awesome excuse to go back and really live it up at SWW. ;)

We do know how to have fun, don't we? The fun often happens when you abandon any real sense of plans. On our August trip, my dad made fun of Franklin and I for splitting so many meals (he was paying for some of the meals, shouldn't we want to wring every last dollar out of a meal he was paying for?). But the joke was on him when he asked why we didn't seem overly stuffed after each meal. :rotfl:

I'm just jumping in today and spent a good portion if my afternoon reading your TR! What a great vacation so far! I can't wait to see how the SWW continues! :)

Wow! Thanks for reading along!

love the update. Awesome pictures. The show looked like lots of fun too.

Thanks! The show was better than I ever expected. Lots of fun and great Star Wars info. :thumbsup2

Zam quickly became my favorite. I seriously need an eye-makeup lesson, I want to know how she does it!

Love all the pictures!!
I can't wait for next years SWW's!

You get to go to ALL the SWW next year, I'm so jealous!

Splitting meals is definitely the way to go! If we don't, I never have room for an afternoon snack, and miss out on lots of great treats!!

Disney snacks are the most important part of the eating day! Gotta have room for them.

Yep, it's the same theater the Frozen singalong is now in! SWW is so much fun, I highly recommend it!

The nice thing about SWW is there something for every level of fandom. The shows are very accessible for the casual fans, there are obscure characters for the true nuts. And everyone loves the celebrities!

Welcome back friends! We last left off with a fun Star Wars Weekend show and some awesome roaming character interaction.

One of the new things Disney introduced to SWW this year were two character meals. We had ADRs for both that weekend, with the first one being Hollywood and Vine. This meal included the Disney characters dressed up as Star Wars characters.

Chip and Dale, the cutest chimpmunk Ewoks ever, greeted you before dinner.

I said we should take a fun photo too. Dale whipped out his slingshot and this magical photo happened.

We’d never eaten here, but we really enjoyed the food. They had also given the food Star Wars names: “Luke Thighwalker BBQ Chicken,” “Blue milk ice cream,” etc.

They had wrapped the restaurant’s columns in Star Wars decor.

Franklin had wanted to see if using the wide-angle lens on his camera would let us both get into selfies with characters. Turns out, it worked. Even the characters were shocked the selfies turned out so well!

Now, we were scheduled for the SWW Feel the Force dessert party after dinner, so that should mean we’d go light on desserts at dinner. But they all looked so good! And so adorably Star Wars-themed!

Fairly well stuffed, we rolled ourselves out of dinner. The SWW dance party had begun, so we danced our way from Hollywood and Vine to Bill and Min’s Dockside Diner, where the dessert party check-in was located. We grabbed a spot to hang out and listen to the music until they opened the party space to guests. Franklin started giggling at one point.

I put the grinning picture up on Instagram with this caption:

They played "Cups" from Pitch Perfect at the Star Wars dance party. Which gave him the perfect chance to say "his name is literally Darth Father"

Finally, it was time to get our dessert party on. We grabbed a table toward the back (for the purposes of Franklin’s fireworks photos). And while Franklin set up his camera and tripod, I headed for the dessert buffet.

This led to this gem of an Instagram post:

You know what makes POG juice even better than it usually is? Rum. #SWW

We really, REALLY enjoyed the dessert party. The treats were yummy, the adult beverages were some of the best we’ve ever had at Disney and it was nice to enjoy the dance party with a nice bubble of personal space.

After introducing every Star Wars character that has ever been mentioned in the films/TV shows/books, it was time for “Symphony in the Stars!”

We capital L LOVE “Symphony in the Stars.” It’s a great fireworks show and the music is simply incredible. We’d seen it once before for May the Fourth be with You and it was even better this time. We let the masses stream out of the park before we moved. In the meantime, Franklin informed me that if we ever had room in our future home for a bar, these are what that bar will look like.

This my friends, is where our evening ends. I was pretty proud of us. We were supposed to head back to the resort for an afternoon nap (since it was the day after the 24-hour party, after all), but we stuck it out in the park and packed in a full day of SWW fun! But don’t think that fun stops here, we’ve got another Imperial-packed day coming up, so stay tuned!

The meal at H&V looks great! We ended up cancelling our ADR.

Love the dessert and firework pictures. I agree with the capital L. These are my favorite Disney fireworks ever. How do they rank for you?

Chip and Dale are always so silly! Love the photos you guys got with them.

Donald looks so naked without his hat!

BEAUTIFUL fireworks pictures! Just think how different the Symphony in the Stars will look without the hat.

I'm not a SW fan by any means, but I think it was very cool that they added the character meals. They all looked cute dressed up as SW characters!

The dessert party looks like a lot of fun, and great viewing for the show & fireworks. :thumbsup2

Wow, those Star Wars events look awesome. I had no idea they went to all out for the Star Wars events. I have next to no knowledge of them, outside of the original movies, but that desert part looks amazing even for the non Star Wars fan. Pog with rum, yes please and thank you!!!!

Love your wide angle group selfies -- what a great idea!!

Looks like a delicious dinner....those desserts, especially the shaped cookies, look fab!

And YUM, that adult beverage looks so good! Sounds like a great night overall! :goodvibes

I love love love your pictures with Chip and Dale at the SW dinner!!! I really hope they keep doing that meal for a few years so I can go on our next family trip.
