Thank you everyone for the comps on the shirts! I am hoping to get those finshed up this weekend. I am so excited for those of you that are getting ready to leave!! I am getting close and nervous that I won't have everything done!
My daughter had a growth spurt and now I have to run out and get her some summer clothes!!!

Does anyone know if Mary Popins has a meet in great in where in the park??

Went to get my hair done!! One more thing done for the trip!! I love the color! Looks amazing! hehe I kinda have hair like "Giselle". Although not as blonde.

Tomorow: car appointment.

I get my hair done tomorrow. I think I want to go lighter for the summer, not sure yet.

I have a car appt. story to tell you. Okay yesterday our 2008 Sienna had an appt. for the oil change/check up before the road trip on Sunday. Toyota calls me around 10 and tells me the front brake pads need to be replaced since we are going on a trip and that they are at the min. 3/32. I was a little surprised by this since the van only has 27,000 miles and two oil changes ago they were at like 11/32. SO...I called my husband and he said nah...I think it is fine just let them do the other stuff they are probably just trying to get money out of us and there is probably several more months of good driving left on these. The brakes were going to cost 299 bucks at Toyota dealership.

SO then it started bugging me about the trip and maybe we should get a second opinion. I called Sears where we have had brakes done over the years on our OLD 1998 Dodge Caravan. They told me they could do the brake eval for 15 bucks and wave the fee if indeed it needed brakes. Cost about 135.00 bucks for front brakes and rotars turned.... so I decided to take it there to see.

OKAY...our dd had to work so she was in her Toyota Corolla so I couldn't have her follow me to drop it off or have our son take her car to follow me. I didn't want to wait on it because I had stuff to do.... SO...I had our son (16 1/2) drive over in our old 1998 van so I could drop the Sienna off and we could take that old van back home. We get in the parking lot and he comes over to where I parked the Sienna and says "MOM the white van is smoking and the red light came on right as we were turning at the light"... which was where the mall is. SO I walk over and YES IT IS SIZZLING AND SMOKING. :scared1:

So MAJOR REGROUP.....we go into Sears and tell them we are NOW leaving the WHITE VAN and they go out and look at it ...thinking it is the radiator and would do a check on it and call us. SO we left and get home....are about to eat dinner and they call. THE RADIATOR HAS A BAD CRACK AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED ALONG WITH THE WATER PUMP AND THE SERPENTINE BELT. The radiator has to be replaced ..can't be sealed or anything. WE HAD NO DESIRE TO PUT A BUNCH OF MONEY INTO THIS OLD VAN. Well since it could not be driven and we do use it occasionally my husband said we have to do it. SO that is costing us 784 bucks. YEAH just what we wanted to do days before leaving for Disney AND....IT IS NOT EVEN THE VAN WE ARE DRIVING TO DISNEY. :scared: Not to mention that I am still going to get the NEW van checked out today when I go to pick up the white van. I am worried about the brakes...more like paranoid now. So..... I did find a 15 buck FREE brake eval coupon on the Sears site to take with me.

SO here's hoping YOUR CAR CHECKS OUT OKAY WITHOUT MAJOR ISSUES. UGH

This came after just a few weeks ago we had to replace two front tires on the Sienna. I picked up a roofer nail and we have run flats so they can't repair the hole. SO of course they say you should replace tires in "TWO'S" UGh so that was around 450 then like 4 days later...OUR DACHSHUND PUPPY chewed up my son's inhaler and had to spend the night in PUPPY ICU and that cost us over 600. SO..I just want to get out of here on SUNDAY without any other major issues. :sad2:

That sucks. We just had to have the front rotators replaced on my SUV.

Wow! I hope that your brakes on your Toyota are fine and that you have no more things pop up before you leave on Sunday.

SRUAlmn~I'm excited for you to be going on your vacation!:banana:

trinaweena~ Is Scutter a twist off of Scuttle? Either way your doggies are very precious!

I am going outside in a bit to vacumn and finish cleaning out my van. I've decided the best way to keep the kiddo's out of the luggage is just to put it in the car now. I'm so ready to wake up and have it be the 13th already! I'm anxious to get on the plane, see my sister and to go to Disney with her!

I just called Disney and added some requests to our room reservation and talked to Cranky McCrankypants. Geesh! Don't you know I'm excited for my trip!? Put a smile on and suck it up, lady :rotfl:

don't you just hate that. i know people have bad days but come on i'm on vacation or planning one don't try to rub off your crappy attitude on me because you're stuck at your job when i'm on holiday or when it's a beautiful day

take a break, splash some cold water on your face, suck it up, and smile cause we can tell we're disney freaks dontchya know

:goodvibes:goodvibes

i'm embracing my cruls.

it's so hot and muggy here in Quebec that i've put my flat iron away and stopped battling my curls.

usually the front goes all frizzy so before i left home i bought some "curlz rock" stuff and every morning after my shower i put on some and vuala curls for miles.

even my front is cooperating (which is very very unusual)

so i'm guessing that i'm going to do the same in WDW and bring my hair clips so that i can put it all up when i'm really hot

this heat wave is killing me but at least we're getting used to taking a long break in the middle of the day since we're planning on doing that in 2 weeks :)

Okay - I finished my first two bags for Disney. Well, these are more like "prototypes" to decide what I want to use.
The plastic is REALLY hard to work with and sew on - I had to cover my whole sewing machine in tissue paper to keep it from sticking!:rotfl:

So anyway, I'm going to make the others the same style as the Mickey bag - but I want the straps a little closer together on the sides - it looks kinda like a TV right now - ;) I'm also going to bring the vinyl up another inch on the bottom - gives more support.

The Mickey has more shape to it, which I like, and the straps *just* fit over the stroller handle - so no swinging and knee-knocking when we're walking!

I'll post the other ones when I finish them - they will be a little prettier.

2 days until we leave! Oh my gosh...I'm hyperventilating just thinking about it! My mom was admitted to the hospital 11 days ago and I've been with her all day, every day, except for yesterday. We are still taking our trip despite the fact that she'll begin chemo soon for Central Nervous System lymphoma.

My laundry is done, suitcases are brought up from the basement, Disney paraphernalia is packed, ponchos found, GAD tickets and birth certificates packed. Two weeks ago I started packing snacks and cleaning supplies for the condo. Thank goodness I did this already, otherwise I'd be totally freaking out!

Hope everyone who is vacationing is enjoying themselves. Happy packing to all those who are leaving soon! Safe travels everyone!

You can find Mary in the England pavilion in Epcot!

I have SUPER curly hair too! Mine is up the entire time I am in WDW because it gets so frizzy, not to mention my hair is like a furnace! :lmao:

I am so sorry to hear about your mom.

Oh, Denise, sorry about all your car issues! Cars can be such a pain sometimes!! :sad2:

Dont let McCrankypants put a cloud over your trip, after all ' YOU'RE GOING TO DISNEY" :cool1::cool1:

We just found out that we could spend one more day in WDW! :cool1: I was thinking of renting points from someone on the DIS rental board, but I am a little hesitant. Has anybody here tried it, and if so would you recommend it?

Thanks! I feel more comfortable asking you guys :goodvibes

I am a DVC member but have never rented or rented from anyone BUT our friends have done it TWICE. They too are members and matter of fact they just added on a night last night (rented from member) to their POINTS stay trip that started today..... They had good luck each time. Go over to that board and check it out. People can help you there too. :thumbsup2

Beth - Your bags are absolutely wonderful!!! I am in love with the style of the Mickey one!! The contrast of the bottom and the straps with the pattern is fantastic!
:worship:

I own DVC and frequent the boards over there. You can search to find out some tips for who to rent from. A couple of ones that come to mind are to rent from a DIS Board Veteran - someone with tons of posts. Also, ask the person for references of other people who they've rented to. They are mostly wonderful DVC members who rent points, but there are a couple of bad people who seem to make the majority seem small.

Mine is: Les Chefs de France (I wonder if Remy is still there).

My mom: Toni's
