The Do and Don't of Room Service

Hi!

On our last two DCL cruises, we haven't even tried the Room Service once.

I was wondering if you had tried it and if you did, what items on the menu you liked or disliked?

How was it (quality and did it arrive cold/hot/wet/yucky?)

Looking for reviews and recommendations here.

Thanks in advance!

Good to know. Thank you.

When we first get to our stateroom we order a case of water. It's great to just grab a bottle on the way out the door. We love Mickey Bars, the cheese plate, chocolate covered strawberries are great. Just remember to keep some $1 and $5 bills for tipping. Try it, you'll love the experience.

How much do they charge for a case of water?

We always bring our own water and the only time we bought it was on the European cruises -- and back then it was about $30-35/case.

We had buffalo wings BLT key lime pie. I also get hot tea. I ordered around midnight and took about 30 min. Hot tea is always still hot for morning too.

We watched the sun rise every morning and had coffee delivered. Got to where they just asked How Many People when they answered the phone. haha. Also, warm cookies and milk at night. It is great. You can tip cash, or ask for the sheet and write the tip on there as well.

Best way to have coffee ever! Sometimes we have also gotten up and gone to the coffee station on 9 and watched the sun and lounged. Love it.

Our 19 y.o son loves to order room service. he has ordered burgers, BLT, all hands on deck cheese platter, cookies, soup ,milk and the Mickey bar. He loved the Lasagna on the Magic and was highly disappointed when he found out the Fantasy and Dream didn't offer it. He ordered so much the room service team left him a thank you card. He tips roughly 1.00 per item.

We get the All Hands on Deck when we get back from ports it's the perfect light snack. We've also gotten breakfast delivered if we have an early excursion. Mickey bars on the last day as we're packing.
