"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016 - Have Yourself a Very Mickey Christmas.

Assuming the MVMCP schedule is similar to last year's, is it at all realistic to think we could see the 7:30 castle show, followed by the 8:15 parade? If so, from where?

I know I read on this thread that you can book ADRs as late as 7pm on a party day without a party ticket, but then you'll be asked to leave the park once you finish eating. We have tickets for MVMCP on Friday, Nov. 11 (after reading this thread I'm concerned about crowds), but we are planning to be at MK on Thursday, Nov. 10 and then leave at 7pm when it closes for non-party guests. I just made a dinner reservation for 6:35 at BOG on Nov. 10th, but a warning message came up on the screen that said "You are making a reservation during an event which requires the purchase of a separately priced event admission ticket..." Will we for sure be able to use this reservation at 6:35 and just leave after dinner, or am I setting myself up for a cancellation fee if they say we can't eat there at that time because the party will have already started when we get finished eating?

I have heard that the cutoff for non-party guests to get reservations is more like 6 pm or so. I would not assume they would just let you proceed with an ADR since they have warned you otherwise.

Question regarding tickets for the party -- we will have magic your way tickets and the party tickets on the magic band. They are on MDE.

Will the system know which one we're using via the band, or is it just a smarter idea to bring the physical cards with us and then use the bands for the rest of the evening? I don't want to get dinged for one of our tickets because the system was wrong. :(

No, if you look at the dining hours for those days, BOG is only open until 6:15pm for non-party guests.

By the way - THEY JUST OPENED RESERVATIONS FOR MVMCP NIGHTS FOR PARTY TICKET HOLDERS! I got a dinner res for our party night at BOG.

Question - What time should I try to make our ADR for on party night, if we don't want to miss the parade & fireworks?

Thanks! I grabbed one!

Oh wow ok yes yes yes I will do that. Thank you. reserved seats for the parade and fireworks and deserts. Yes please

@Becky Mouse You may not be seated right away, most people do have to wait at least 15 or so minutes for their ADR. Most sit down restaurants take approximately 90 minutes once you are seated. You could get lucky to get out quickly, but I wouldn't count on it.

Thanks. It's definitely not worth missing the party, and I don't want to be stressed about it. I just put in a new reservation finder with Touring Plans for 5:30pm, so hopefully something will open up! Otherwise, I guess we'll just eat a quick meal at Pinocchio Village Haus. I do know my son would really like to meet Beast, though. Do you think if we showed up a little after 6pm (ADR at 6:45), we'd be placed in line to be seated? Or would they turn us away and tell us to come back later?

I think you'll be turned away, but I would keep trying for one earlier. It could happen since there is so much more time till then. We aren't even having a dinner, just a late lunch at LTT and then we'll snack on corn dog nuggets and other yummy, bad for us stuff :) Do you plan on seeing characters like Jack Skellington, Dwarfs and other party only ones? If so, from what I read last year, people line up at like 5 to get these M&Gs.

I think the only one we really, really want to do is the M&G with Scrooge, and I doubt he'll be as busy as the others (am I mistaken?). I figured we'd arrive around 4pm and go straight to Fantasyland. The kids can ride a few rides like Dumbo, we can eat dinner, and then we'd be in the area for the Scrooge M&G if he's there again this year!

We mostly want to see Elsa freezing the castle, the parade, and the Holiday Wishes, but I'd like to see that new Mickey show as well. We also might do the Jingle Cruise during the party, and of course eat cookies & cocoa! I don't think my kids will make it much later than 10pm, so we definitely need to do the earlier shows.

Once the first parties are happening, there will be schedules and cheat sheets as to where characters are located and the best plan of action.

I changed our reservation to Friday, Nov. 11, since we will be going to the party that night. I may still cancel it since I don't want to waste a lot of time eating dinner. This will be our first MVMCP so we'll likely decide to grab something quick and fill up on cookies so we can get more done. We're having lunch at BOG the day before, so the only draw for us to keep the dinner ADR is meeting the Beast. Also, we're paying OOP for meals so that's another reason to keep the lunch and cancel the dinner ADR. Thanks!

I think we will splurge on that dessert party. Just not having to worry about a parade seat and firework viewing area would be great!

I was reading it, and it sounds like it takes up a lot of the night. That's not to say it won't be good for some, but just be aware!

Here's what it says:
  • Starting at 7:30 PM, Guests will meet at the parade viewing area located by the flag pole in Town Square to see Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, which begins at 8:35 PM.
  • After the parade, Guests will be escorted back to Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant—the location for both the dessert party and Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season fireworks at 10:00 PM.

So it sounds like you get great views of the parade & fireworks, but it'll basically run from 7:30pm - 10:30pm... most of the party!
