As long as you're not wanting to get to the party before the official start (7pm) you'd be fine. Hoop Dee Doo would be over by like 5:30. That would give you 1.5 hours to get changed and get to MK. I think that'd be plenty of time. But if you want to get there earlier than it would be rushed I think. Hoop Dee Doo is a blast, by the way!
Normally the frist party I thought. When should we expect details for the parties this year as far as characters, merchandise, entertainment, etc.?
9:30Does anyone know about what time the fireworks are shown on the MNSSHP nights?
No, way too much money for us for what it was. IF I thought the desserts looked good, and IF villains were important to me, and IF money was burning a hole in my pocket, I would only do the late one to maximize party time. I can think of so many better things to spend $99 per person on. LolSmitch, Have you been to the Villian's Sinister Soiree? If so, is it worth it?
Already spending enough money for the MNSSHP tickets alone, never mind another $99 per person. Desserts and villians are not going to cut it, lol! There is definitely better ways to spend that money. Yes to question 1 and your costume can be as authentic as possible as long as it's clear you are not a CM and you don't sign autographs. Check out my guest list thread here...So I have a question. Since I've never been, I'm trying to figure out my plan for the party, since I'll be going on my arrival day. Anyways, I'm not sure that my room will be ready by the time I need to go to the party. Can I just change at the hotel in a public bathroom or something? Has anyone ever dealt with this?
My second part of my question is the concern of going to the parks. Now, I don't think my costume will be that great, but I am going to wear a full gown, as well as hopefully a wig. I mean, do they frown upon people doing that before you get into the park? I don't know the proper etiquette and I've done like, comic cons before and kids think you're that person, and I don't want to confuse anyone.
I have never been to a party, but I am also thinking about attending on Oct 9th (we will arrive late on Oct 8th and leave on Oct 12th, so Oct 9th is the only date that works). We will be in Disney October 9-14 so there are a few parties while we are there. I've been to a party a few years ago but my kids were small and don't remember and we will be with a friend and her son who have never been and have only been to Disney once - so I'm super excited to share this experience with them!
Our plan is to attend the party on October 9 - I see this was a sold out date last year and it's a Friday so I'm assuming it will be busy? Exactly how crowded and busy is it? We chose to go this day bc we will be arriving at our hotel sometime that afternoon and figured we do the party rather than use one of our ful-priced park days. We will do 2 full magic kingdom days during the rest of our trip so does this sound like a good plan? I'm not planning to change our date but am just hoping it will still be a good time!

I would also like to know where you are finding out more info, such as which dates sold out (and when!), so I can purchase tickets before selling out (but not too early, as I am still waiting for the school testing calendar to be finalized).
I also want to know more about how to purchase tickets and whether to link/not link, so that I don't mistakenly take a day off my 5-day base ticket.
I purchased tickets (credit card type, not E-tickets), and they were automatically linked. My plan is to enter the party with the ticket. I am even taking off my magic band to not mistakenly use a regular ticket.
