"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

When should we expect details for the parties this year as far as characters, merchandise, entertainment, etc.?

As long as you're not wanting to get to the party before the official start (7pm) you'd be fine. Hoop Dee Doo would be over by like 5:30. That would give you 1.5 hours to get changed and get to MK. I think that'd be plenty of time. But if you want to get there earlier than it would be rushed I think. Hoop Dee Doo is a blast, by the way!

Thank you. I talked with the hubby and we ended up moving HDDR to the day we do BB and DQ and moved our reservation for Fulton's Crab House to 2:40 on MNSSHP night. That should give us a little more time. I'll probably end up switching stuff around again between now and then.

Just bought our MNSSHP tickets!!! I am so excited! :jumping1:
I feel like everything is just happening, from FD yesterday to MNSSHP today! Woohoo! I'm coming home WDW get ready pixiedust: Cannot wait to attend the party again, we have did it once in 2013 and we are hooked!

Smitch, Have you been to the Villian's Sinister Soiree? If so, is it worth it?
No, way too much money for us for what it was. IF I thought the desserts looked good, and IF villains were important to me, and IF money was burning a hole in my pocket, I would only do the late one to maximize party time. I can think of so many better things to spend $99 per person on. Lol

Already spending enough money for the MNSSHP tickets alone, never mind another $99 per person. Desserts and villians are not going to cut it, lol! There is definitely better ways to spend that money. Thank You!!!

So I have a question. Since I've never been, I'm trying to figure out my plan for the party, since I'll be going on my arrival day. Anyways, I'm not sure that my room will be ready by the time I need to go to the party. Can I just change at the hotel in a public bathroom or something? Has anyone ever dealt with this?

My second part of my question is the concern of going to the parks. Now, I don't think my costume will be that great, but I am going to wear a full gown, as well as hopefully a wig. I mean, do they frown upon people doing that before you get into the park? I don't know the proper etiquette and I've done like, comic cons before and kids think you're that person, and I don't want to confuse anyone.

Yes to question 1 and your costume can be as authentic as possible as long as it's clear you are not a CM and you don't sign autographs. Check out my guest list thread here...

There are some pics in post 2. :)

We will be in Disney October 9-14 so there are a few parties while we are there. I've been to a party a few years ago but my kids were small and don't remember and we will be with a friend and her son who have never been and have only been to Disney once - so I'm super excited to share this experience with them!

Our plan is to attend the party on October 9 - I see this was a sold out date last year and it's a Friday so I'm assuming it will be busy? Exactly how crowded and busy is it? We chose to go this day bc we will be arriving at our hotel sometime that afternoon and figured we do the party rather than use one of our ful-priced park days. We will do 2 full magic kingdom days during the rest of our trip so does this sound like a good plan? I'm not planning to change our date but am just hoping it will still be a good time!

My other question is do they have hallowishes at every party? I was looking at the Touring Plans MNSSHP plan and it said there wasn't one that night, I'm hoping this is a mistake be that's one of my favorite parts!

I have never been to a party, but I am also thinking about attending on Oct 9th (we will arrive late on Oct 8th and leave on Oct 12th, so Oct 9th is the only date that works).

I would also like to know where you are finding out more info, such as which dates sold out (and when!), so I can purchase tickets before selling out (but not too early, as I am still waiting for the school testing calendar to be finalized).

I also want to know more about how to purchase tickets and whether to link/not link, so that I don't mistakenly take a day off my 5-day base ticket.

I purchased tix for Halloween right on the wdw.com and yes I linked them to MDE but I have annual passes so it really doesn't matter as far as losing days on a park ticket. The sold out dates can also be found at the beginning of this thread at least last years which will give you an idea of what is popular but it varies from year to year with the exception of usually the first party and the one on Halloween

This Villains Sinnister Soiree hasn't been announced for this year yet. Any speculation as to whether they are going to have it again? I also do not know if I would spend another $500 for 5 tix to that, but I drank the Kool Aid a long time ago and it has a lasting effect.

I purchased tickets (credit card type, not E-tickets), and they were automatically linked. My plan is to enter the party with the ticket. I am even taking off my magic band to not mistakenly use a regular ticket.

So, you pick up an 'actual' ticket at Will Call and use that instead of MB? Thank you, that makes complete sense!

So, I just re-worked our schedule and it looks like that day may work the best for us to visit MK. What are your thoughts on spending at least part of the party day (prior to 3 pm) at MK?

Also, I found this blog post that tells us:
1) when the party sold out
2) the order of waits

Hope this helps someone!
