Live from WDW, Nicki & Todd do the F&W and 10 days worth of food!!!

Well folks, thats all she wrote, or ATE! Thank you all for reading, loved chatting with all of you! Cannot wait to hear about your dining adventures so be sure to write reviews!

Please join me in January, the 21st to the 25th when Todd and I brave WDW with 2 nieces, age 6 and almost 13, YIKES say a prayer for us that we do not get fed up and leave them at the Its a Small World Ride!

I have breakfasts set at Ohana, Norway, Tusker House and Crystal Palace. For dinner we have Coral Reef, Tonys and Sci Fi. Who knows what DH will make me change around right?!

I can see the title now, Todd and Nicki Do WDW, WITH KIDS! Will we survive? Will we go broke? Will we need to rent 2 wheelchairs and make the kids push us around? It will be real, it will be fun but will it be real fun?!

LOL! Hope for the best! We are a party of ten in December. Ages of the kids: 13, 12, 6, 5 and 5. I'm hoping for the best!! I'll be posting a report when I get back (My family thinks I'm crazy because I said I want to take pictures of all the food!).

Looking forward to your next reviews Nick!:goodvibes

Thanks for the good luck! I think I am gonna need it. You know DH used to think I was nuts for taking pics too but the last few trips he got it, it took him a while but now he is all about angleing his food for the camera, he is trained not to take one bite until after he hears me say "Ok got it", you know I need to make sure the pic is Dis worthy! :worship:

DD & I are tossing around the idea of a live food report for our upcoming trip but I keep thinking that it'll be difficult with four of us. Sitting down and not eating until the pics have all been taken  Usually at least one of us is grumpy and needs food now (or an hour ago  ) We may try, but I'm sure we won't live up to bar you've set Nicki :worship:

Hey Girly!!! It was great to meet you and Todd! Jon and I had a blast!!!!! (I don't look so great in that pic. must be cuz I got fed up with my hair tangling on the rides...so I put it all up... not a good idea for the pictures, huh?)

We arrived home very early this morning... (12:45am) I'm trying to download the pictures... hopefully I'll get started on my food report soon!!! I just need to take a nap for a little while! LOL!

I know sometimes Todd gave me the look, like hurry up girl and click it will ya, I'm starving over here!

You look fantastic! And your sone peeking out of the plant is hilarious! Glad you are home safe and sound, now bring on the grub bub!

So after dinner we shopped a bit and ended up at Goofy's Candy Store before getting back on the bus. DH and I decided to get a few dipped pretzels as a snack for later.

Here is the dipping menu

We decided on 3 pretzels, I picked milk chocolate with Reese's peanut butter cups and caramel drizzle. DH picked milk chocolate on his 2 with sprinkles on one and Oreo's on the other. Guess whose is the best?? Yes mine! He wants to go back and get more!

I was so glad to see you post all of this! As many times as we have been to Disney we have never bought anything at Goofy's place! We are hitting it for sure in December and I had been wondering about the toppings and here you post a picture! Thank you so much!

By the way I'm super late to your report (after the fact) but have really enjoyed it, now you are making me wish we were eating at Jiko's and Fulton's this trip, alas we have my great nieces with me and both are a bit expensive to take them, JMHO!

Thanks again!

So pleased to see that you enjoyed SAI. We are looking forward to our ressie there thanks to your menu pics.

Great reviews, overall. Thanks for taking the time to do them while on your trip. They are a great help!

Loved all of this review and looking forward to the next one! Thanks for taking the time to do these "live". I felt much less guilty about cancelling our Boma reservation after hearing your thoughts!

Better late than never right? I agree, little ones may have more fun at a character meal than a quiet meal at Jiko's!

Of course I had to take pics of Goofy's, hey its still a menu right! I could really go for some of those pretzels right now, somehow a Take 5 bar is not cutting it!

Thanks for reading them! When DH is napping I can post away, what am I gonna do watch the Dis channel all night long :rotfl: Disers are more fun that that! I feel guilty that I did not like Boma dinner but I will always love their breakfast!

Thank you so much! I loved your reviews! We are staying CL at AKL next Sept. so it was great seeing the offerings there. Thanks again!

Glad you enjoyed them. AKL CL was amazing, they were very helpful in every step of our vacation, even when we arrived they were very accommodating. The lounge offerings were fantastic!

Hey, Nicki, I just wanted to say thanks again for all the great live food reviews! :worship: This has been awesome, and the firsl live report I've ever read, how fun! Before I found the dis, who knew the food(and all the rest) could be this fun and so many people would be interested to read about the great food(or not!) that others had! Btw, I'm starting to suspect you are a food reviewer back home in real life! ;)

Again you made Tutto's sound so wonderful, we're super excited to eat there! Thanks again for the menu pic, too.
Did they say by any chance whether they would make things off menu, or do they strictly stick to the publicized menu? What is zabiglione gelato in the dessert you had, I've been planning on getting that but not sure what kind of gelato is. And, I've forgotten, did they have that Rosa Regale wine there? It sounds yummy!

I'm excited about all our adrs but we are going to be soooo stuffed! I may even try to take pic, but does anyone ever look at you like you are nuts or say/ask why? Whatever, you and DH(the food arranger!) are great pic takers! I can't wait till you go on your next trip in Jan, should be fun and will be interesting to hear what your nieces think! :goodvibes

Thank you! I hope you love Tutto as much as we did....tonight I am going to try and recreate the cavatelli with the sausage, hope I can get it close to the real thing! I cannot remember if they served the RR there or not, I bet they did as the wine menu was huge!

We have been taking food pics for 3 years now and there were only 2 times someone said something. Once was at the dessert table at Capt Grill in the YC..this guy said to his wife, why is that lady taking pics of the desset? The second time was at Boma breakfast, the guy said why are you taking so many pics? I told him I scrap book (which I do when I have the time) and I said do you want me to take a pic of you too? He said sure so I did, but then deleted it later :rotfl:

Have a fantastic vacation!

We were at WDW Oct. 15-26, and I think we were at Boma breakfast with you (SECOND time on the trip). We tried Boma on your review and loved it. Your photos are scrumptious!
Our birthdays are close; I turned 33 on Oct. 20. Boma gave me the same little cakes and a lovely card. We share your opinion on the cakes. We have not liked the sound of Boma dinner even on the positive reviews, and will stick to breakfast.
We loved Jiko, one of our appetizers was the Tastes of Africa, and my caregiver ordered the ostrich (pretty tasty). One of us also had the filet with mac and cheese-- terrific. The lemon curd was a hit as well. Jiko is on our list next year. We are staying at the GF (Dolphin and OKW this trip), so Citricos is on and maybe Narcoosees. DH LOVES clams, so I think we'll brave the Cape May clambake as well. And finally we can try Oybolshoi's passion: afternoon tea.
We're hard to miss if you saw us; DH and my caregiver are both very big bearded guys, and I use a power chair and ventilator.
Have you been to Raglan Road? We followed Oybolshoi's review on this as well. It is a lot of fun, great food, excellent alcohol! DH and DC both tried beer flights, and there is a great drinks menu. The bread pudding is spectacular. I think you both would enjoy it.
Thanks for the reviews and incredible food porn. I'm a fan.
