How to make $3600 on your disney vacation! WE DID!! NEW 9/3*The Epilogue, DONE* p. 54

Horsey - your report and epilogue.

At one point I'm so bummed that I'm going to miss out on the Maelstrom meet and on the other point I can't wait to "read" all about it!

I can't wait to read your next report :thumbsup2

Howdy there Horsie!!

I were headed in the wrong direction as I really thought you might have won the fabled cruise over at Millionaire but what a ride you took me on! It was like most of my favorite vacations in that I often got lost but enjoyed where I ended u by accident much more than I might have enjoyed where I had planned to go. :thumbsup2

Attitude is everything and you have everything, including a talent for words and writing. Do something with it. We need wit and wisdom to get through life and if we have little of our own we could borrow a cupful from you.

Slightly Goofy

I do not even know about the fabled cruise at Millionare! Now Millionare is done and I cannot win it. Dang.

Slightly Goofy. You are much too kind, thank you as always for the ego boost! If only I had this effect on everyone. I could rule the world BAWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Seriously, thanks.:cloud9:

Hucifer! Thanks for your thoughts funny girl. Loving your TR. GO read it people, she is a hoot, and along with her DH are zany antics magnets....

Pigglet74. Thanks for becoming a regular! Look for the start soon! ANd btw. Went to Typhoon Lagoon, and more fashion don'ts there. :rotfl2:

Doc and Family, well please do not be a stalker next time around, or a voyeur like Hucifer! :rotfl2: Thank you and have a great, great trip! I do not arrive until 9/29...

Nab- in the Long Yellow Trailer. I am enjoying your adventures, and please don't be jealous. Everything always looks greener on the olther side of the fence....Thanks for stopping by!

Oh EEyorelover22....I do understand your feelings about the kids growing up. I hope you make the transition to empty nesters, when the time comes, by filling your life with things you could not do when you had all the kids in tow...This seems to be where some folks get stuck, not making the switch when a new chapter begins. Let me know how Splash goes with your girl. Sky rode it 12 times this trip. Me eight. :teeth: Lucky us.

jns! You got to read this all at once? Wow, that is dedication. But my family has a house in West Cork on the Beara near Castletownbearre, so I know about the weather that might keep one inside reading all afternoon! Loved Donegal...BTW. Thanks from across the drink!

Backstage Gal. Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed it.

KPK89- RIght back at you!  L:oving your trippie woman. If only I were as funny as you! When did you plan on finishing? You started not long after me, just sayin'..... :rolleyes1

Minniespal! Thank you for your post. Do you really read everyone of these trippies you post to? You must be a speedreader!

Oh Minnie! We are so sorry you won't be joining us too! I suspect this will be the first of many. Really, I do.....What a better excuse to go to Diz than meeting friends you cannot see any other way. :thumbsup2 And yep, I predict a few trippies will emerge and the contrasts of perspectives should be interesting.

Okay, I am getting ready to begin crafty a new trippie. How can I top this one? I cannot other than to say that we took over 1000 pictures. So what is the square root of 1000 pictures when each is worth 1000 words? I may not do too much gabbing..... ;)

To Horsey: OMG...HAWAII...You and the gang ROCK...I will say you are the only Horsegirl I know whose SUITCASES gather NO DUST!!!!! :sunny:

Like I always say...GRAB FOR ALL THE GUSTO!!! Hit the HIGH ROAD as often as you can. And then as often as you possibly can get back here to us here on the DIS :disrocks: and tell us of all the fabulous sights you have seen through another of your wonderful TRIPPIES!!! :dance3:

There should be a "suitcase" smiley for you, Horsey!!! :goodvibes

Fab about the 20 lbs. :thumbsup2 So definitely hard when you are so busy with the kiddos...( the only disposal we had when my DS' were little was ME)...and now I wage the war on weight daily!

Keep on keeping on, Horsey!!! :cool1:

My friend Momrek06! Thanks for your unending support Mom, seriously. You were here at every installment. Your encouragement meant so much! Such an upbeat spirit you are. Now a minute of clarification. We did not even have suitcases until LL Bean had an unbelievable sale two years ago, in which we got 5 pieces of luggage that would have totaled over $1,000, for $100! The key? Go on the last morning of their outlet sale in Waterville, Maine where everything is 90% off! Why did we not have suitcases? We rarely went anywhere! This year is a fluke due to the free airfare, and to be honest. Hawaii is really dipping into our savings. SHHHHHHHHHHHH! Don't let the budget board folks know this! I will be publicly flogged and flamed....

I suspect this Hawaii trip might keep us grounded for a while.....how will I survive without another trip to Diz? I will come to the Disboards for psychological intervention!

BeccaG- Thanks girlie! And love that little avatar of yours. You must be a dickens....which in my book is a good thing....

:yay: :yay: :yay:

heh heh heh. I want to be marooned there if truth be told.... :teeth: What could I do to make a living there?

I started this tale many moons ago and then took an a DIS break. I reread the first half today and continued on to greedily gulp down the whole thing OT replies and gushing fans included. (I am a glutton of the written word). The gushing is well warrented! Excellent job.

As so many others have said, I enjoyed it very much- well written and full of engaging characters. I love doting parents and kids full of personality!

Thanks for taking the time to share your self and your family with us.

many, many, MANY hours ago

Horsey - many, MANY hours ago = about a month ago. I started it a month ago. I appreciate your humor. But even I am not that much into self-flagellation. We Methodists don't have an Opus Dei order.

I just wanted to thank you for taking all the time it took to write this report. It was absolutely wonderful, and I loved getting to feel like I was right there with your family. Your love for your family shines through in each of your posts, and I loved reading about your adventures. I hope you are able to share a report from your current trip as well--I'd love to read it!

Well horsegirl...I was surprised. I was thinking it was some DVC promotion (duh...guess I'm just not too bright).

Glad you had such a good time and hope your next (just taken not sure of the correct tense here) trip was just (is?) as wonderful but maybe doesn't have any pursed lips.

Horsey ~
As you know, I read your epilogue some days ago. But late at night. I didn’t respond them as I thought that subjecting you to middle of the night dribble would be sorry payment for the wonderful trip report with which you gifted us. Instead, I will subject you to middle of the day dribble instead.

So,

When you started this report I had been bumming around these boards for a while, over a year anyway. In that time I had exchanged occasional messages with other DISers, but had not formed anything that I would consider a friendship. A passing acquaintance, but that was about it. Around the same time that you started your report, as you know, there was some turmoil, and it led a number of us to a certain Viking ship.

Strangely, I wonder whether some of us would still have ended up where we ended up had your trip and report been at another time. On that ship, I mean. It is hard to believe that it was only six months ago, as I feel like I have known you, and others, for years.

And,

I gladly accept a teensy part of the responsibility for tempting you to this recent trip, but make no apologies for it. I truly hope that this trip is not a one-time deal. Because as much as I am looking forward to my trip with my family, and as much as I wouldn’t change that fact for anything, I also hope to have a weekend sometime to get to know you and others even better.

You generously showed us the magical family that you have. Even Grammy J’s pursed lips. And Stitch’s haircuts. And Sky’s missing front teeth. All of which are endearing, mostly because they are REAL.

I am one that is politely, but not so quietly, asking that you write a report of your recent trip, your fabulous stay at the Contemporary, and the wonderful antics of your clan. PLEASE. No need to fear that you are not entertaining. I think you only need to look at your fan base to know that WE all believe that you ARE. Entertaining. The real deal. Wonderful.

And I’ll be right there cheering you from the beginning until the end!

Amy

Horseybabygirl-

It seems like just yesterday that I started reading your wonderful TR.

I'm lying.

It seems like last year. Was it last year? I can't remember.

Anyway, you know what? I loved every single minute of it. And obviously I'm not the only one. You're a great writer, Horsegirl. You truly are. You write straight from the heart and you take us right along with you. Thanks for taking the time out of your life to share your beautiful family with us.

You are most definitely a gem, Horsegirl.

Love you Woman.

What a sweet story and a sweet ending! I have loved every minute of going to Disney with your precious family!!! I appreciate the time you took to tell your tale!

LOVE the ending! Your way with words is beautiful. The love for your family is extra-special. I do hope that you find the time to share this latest trip with us all (and the next one). What a lucky lady 3 trips for 1 (with a few bucks added)...Can I bring you to the casino?

Cheers to you! Until next time...

I am lucky! and heck of a good time, if I don't say so myself! Are you taking me to Las Vegas or Atlantic City or Foxwoods? :teeth:

Frickles! Thanks my sweet lil' partygirl! Hope to bend an elbow with ya', sis! You are a hoot and a half!

jns- I know those gales! Blew the door right off my rental car one Christmas, and how does one survive those days of only 6 or 7 hours of sunlight? Oh never mind, Frickles name reminds me how...... (she enjoys a drink once in a while.....)

Lala! My beloved little lala! Thanks girlie, and you too are a gem, and a dang funny one at that. You maka me wanna lala all night long!

GeorgiaCat- Gee golly mcgee! That was a really really nice thing you said there. Yep I too can remember well how we began our friendship! Who would have thought? I know from all your posts that your trippie is going to be very special! You have a way with words too, baby, which goes nicely with that big ole heart you have! Thanks, and I think I might just jot down another tale...

offwegotoneverland- What promos are those? I would like one. You guys are coming up with some good ideas for how to make more money on a Dis vacation! Thanks for hopping aboard!

ead79- Thank you! Disney does create adventures, no doubt about that. Thanks so much for reading and posting....

Latoberg-I didn't think you were a speed reader! Thanks for clarifying that! Too bad you have to work, unlike me....heh heh heh. :teeth:

Kimmar- You did not say "kept woman", that might work.... ;)
