Today has been a very productive day!

I picked up all the can redemption money in our account, which totaled almost $400 which is already allocated to scouts and deposited it. I scheduled out our meetings up to Disney trip. We received homework from Disney Yes so I've organized that. Finally received older scout cookie incentive check and deposited it.

We start making ADR'S Monday morning for our rescheduled trip we shoud have been there for the last 9 days. We are now going the last of February/beginning of March. for inquirying about my health. I was diagnosed with Multiple myeloma in May and my daughter's graduation trip got postponed. I am doing well we are a few weeks away from a stem cell transplant now that chemo is done.
Your going to have an awesome time we did last year when we took 3 seniors and 1 junior scout to Disneyland and universal studios. Your going to make magic memories

Today is a super special day. Today is our first meeting of the season and our trip is in 30 days!

Tonight's meeting is a trip recap, make thank you cards for all the raffle vendors, fall fundraiser discussion, park map game (help them get their bearings around the park), and then a Disney ride obstacle course (we did this for my older daughters bday party. Activities that simulate rides like, walking thru pool noodles and hoping thru tire inner tubes - this is the test track ride.). Just to have fun!

I have a parent meeting to hand out forms and start the q&a process as we get closer and parents get nervous!

Had our first meeting of the year last night! We did a Park Map game where I gave clues and they had to find the attraction on the map. Great game to help the scouts who hadn't been to Disney in years get their baring when we go. First meeting to answer trip questions - biggest concerns so far seems to be how much money each scout should have, keeping their showers down to 15 minutes and airport drop/pick up.

Having a horrible time waiting for the Magic Bands to arrive and a terrible time with the t-shirt company accepting our artwork!!!!!

OMG got the email that our Magic Bands are in route. Right now they are sitting in Memphis TN. I already have the Disney tattoos so we can decorate them so they need to hurry up and get here!!

So after much deliberation I think we are going to have dinner at the Epcot food festival. We will pre select our menu items during a meeting. I'll show them pictures of the food so they can select using a menu I'll print off once the festival starts in Sept 25. Each scout will get a wrist gift card with set amount loaded to purchase their items when we get there. Those scouts who aren't interested will order at the American adventure. I think it's a great way for them to try new things, 30 different countries with amazing foods. Great experience.

Great meeting tonight! We did our YES program homework. DD13 did a great job giving biography of Walt Disney. Talk about fears and concerns. Made a pack not to pressure or bully otherson rides. Plus we tried on our MAGIC BANDS! They just came in today, so excited!

I'll be reviewing food festival videos to check likes/dislikes. Lots of concern about The hurricane coming up the coast. I'm more concerned with the tropical storm around Bermuda possibly coming across to FL.

So tonight is our last meeting before our trip and I can't wait to see how excited the scouts are! They've been texting each other everyday with countdowns.

Today I thought I'd show you what the scouts are getting tonight. We will be having a discussion about expectations and DD13 will be teaching them some self defense techniques (she's a purple belt in karate). Plus they will be getting a pair of Mickey ears for their park bag and this t-shirt. Love how it came out! Not our first pick but it works.
