Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT Information & Questions

Question: We are doing a split stay with CBR being our first resort. I've read several people here on the boards say that we need to make sure we check out of our first resort before checking into the second one so nothing gets messed up. Do we beed to physically head over to the Custom House to check out, or can we do it at concierge at OPR, or some other way?? We are hoping to check out of CBR and head to MK for our first day in the parks, and then check into POR later in the afternoon. (Our tickets are attached to our POR stay/package.)

The Concierge Desk at OPR will be able to make sure you are all set for your POR stay/check in. We've done this a couple times with no issues.

Yes they have to physically check you out. They changed the room phones now and instead of being directly connected to the front desk you get "guest services" and then have to basically beg to get to the front desk or they will tell you you have to go to the front desk. I would assume they could do it at OPR or at least call to the front desk for you without having to stop at the front desk. I've had to do this many times but I've never done it at CBR before.
Make sure you tell them you are checking in at POR and when you get to POR tell them you came from CBR to make sure they fully checked you out. They tell you that it will automatically check you out at 11 but it doesn't when you are changing resorts...

The Concierge Desk at OPR will be able to make sure you are all set for your POR stay/check in. We've done this a couple times with no issues.

Drop off buses hit the whole loop. CBR buses either take the east or west resorts to MK.

Since people say luggage can not be brought onto the busses - how do I get from check in to my room? DME still? or are there separate buses that take you from custom house to the different villages? We only have carry on luggage, not checked.

Carry-on bags are allowed on the buses. They just wont let you on with all your large checked bags. We've always walked to our room from The Custom House if it's not raining. The couple times it's been raining we take the Internal Bus.

My sons are desperate to stay in a pirate themed room. Can anyone who stayed in one let me know if they would consider the beds: firm, medium firm, medium, medium soft or soft? As I have a back problem it's important it isn't too firm or too soft (I feel like goldilocks!)

Does anyone know the specific model mattresses CBR is currently using? I believe they are sealy posturpedic but not sure the model. We stayed at CBR a couple weeks ago and the queen mattresses were great!! If anyone is currently staying at CBR maybe you could post a pic of the mattress label? Thanks!!

I loved the bed as well!! Checked out this morning but didn't look at the mattress! It was like a cloud

Go to your profile and click edit signature and add the link. You can look at it in preview before you tell it to update your signature. Or at least that is how I did it months back.

WE are 180 days out from our stay at CBR. I've made dining reservations and picked colors for our Magic Bands. We aren't making it a surprise this time for our kiddos like we did 2 years ago so everyone is excited and can talk about it freely!!
