Disney Shares New Concept Art & Details for San Fransokyo Square
By Jackie Gailey - June 22, 2023 |Disneyland News
San Fransokyo Square, the dynamic mash-up city from Big Hero 6, is opening to guests inside Disney California Adventure Park later this year. Disney has shared that beginning in mid-July, Lucky Fortune Cookery and the Port of San Fransokyo Cervecería will officially open. In the following weeks, more dining locations, unique shops, and more are set to open as the transformation continues through mid-August.
Disney has confirmed that there will be a meet-and-greet featuring both Hiro and Baymax outside of the Hamada Bot Shop in San Fransokyo Square. Guests may also see some upcoming inventions in this location, as this is where the Big Hero 6 team will create their hi-tech gear.
When the transformation is finished in August, additional locations such as Cappuccino Cart outside the San Fransokyo Gate Bridge and The Bakery Tour “will be decked out in street art and colorful banners celebrating the Big Hero 6 team after their victory over Yokai.”
Aunt Cass Café, the second bakery café operated by Hiro’s loving aunt, will serve dishes and soups (in freshly-baked Boudin sourdough bread bowls) inspired by Japanese cuisine.
Rita’s Turbine Blenders, a giant drink dispenser, will serve margaritas and icy beverages. “This refreshment stand is owned and named after the repair technician who maintains the floating wind turbine, resembling a giant koi fish, that sits atop the structure.”
The San Fransokyo Maker’s Market, pictured in the concept art above, will be stocked with unique apparel, homewares, and more featuring Baymax and friends.
Disney says the full list of new cuisine coming to this area will be revealed soon, so be sure to watch for it!
I’m excited for this!https://www.wdwinfo.com/news-stories/disney-shares-new-concept-art-details-for-san-fransokyo-square/

For a land locked theme park... they sure are finding new ways to add more interesting nooks to their CA Parks.I’m excited for this!
The property adjacent to DLR/DCA can be used for expansion, imo, and it should be. It's for sale at the right price, trust me. And I'd much rather capital be employed in park expansion, rather than wasting it making movies/tv shows that no one watches. For a land locked theme park... they sure are finding new ways to add more interesting nooks to their CA Parks.
now i REALLY need to convince my hubby to go to Disneyland at least once. He's stubborn and only wants to do disney world whereas i wanna do all of them.https://www.wdwinfo.com/news-stories/disney-shares-new-concept-art-details-for-san-fransokyo-square/

Yeah, you're missing out. DCA, at least, offers a lot that you can't get at WDW. And the castle park has some unique elements, too, though he may think it's too much like MK.now i REALLY need to convince my hubby to go to Disneyland at least once. He's stubborn and only wants to do disney world whereas i wanna do all of them.
You should try it at least once! Disneyland is definitely the better version of MK. One of the main things I think is "worse" is the lack of "Disney resort bubble" but on the flip side if you have a car you can branch out to eat at restaurants that are significantly better than anything on property.now i REALLY need to convince my hubby to go to Disneyland at least once. He's stubborn and only wants to do disney world whereas i wanna do all of them.
Tell him I SAID to go. He'll love it if he likes WDW. The SoCal climate makes it an easier visit, even if the food ain't as good, imo. We'll be there the last week of September.now i REALLY need to convince my hubby to go to Disneyland at least once. He's stubborn and only wants to do disney world whereas i wanna do all of them.
Make this happen at WDW and DLR, Disney, if you are truly serious about theme park investment. This concept is terrific and if you spent some decent coin on it and built it right, it would become an instant hit.According to former imagineer Jim Shull, there were plans to add a Monsters Inc door rollercoaster in Pixar Place
We don’t know how long dining reservations will be unavailable. Stay tuned for updates to this story.Pardon the Inconvenience: At this time, we are unable to make new dining reservations or Enchanting Extras Collection bookings online or over the phone. We apologize for any inconvenience.
