I'll do the CS after this, very limited pics, sorry! DH's absolute favorite food in all of WDW - ESPN Hot Wings. He must have had these 1/2 dozen times during our 11 day stay:
OK, I'll do the CS by park. Let me start by saying we aren't impressed overall by the quality of CS at WDW. We don't care for burgers or chicken strips so our choices are limited.
MK - There's only two places we do - Columbia Harbour House and Casey's. There's just something about the Hot Dog at Casey's that we can't pass up, we make it a point to hit Casey's once every trip. We both had the Grand Slam All Beef 1/4 lb. Hot Dog with fries, and the fries were very fresh and hot.
Columbia Harbour House - We really enjoy the Half Sandwich and Cup of soup, both of us chose the Anchors Aweigh Sandwich and the Bowl of New England Clam Chowder. This was really good, the Chowder was piping hot and the Tuna Sandwich was very good. This 1/2 sandwich is huge!! For dessert we chose the apple crisp which was OK:
EPCOT - Sunshine Seasons is by far our favorite of all CS places in all of the parks, simply because of the variety offered. I only have pics of the best and the worst.
The worst was the Asian Two Entree Items and Two Sides, don't remember what this was (DS's GF had this), but I had tried to tell her based on a previous visit the Asian food is the weak link here:
I had the Caesar Salad with Oak-fired Chicken (a ton of chicken) and the Key Lime Pie, both were great!
DS had the Turkey and Muenster Cheese on Foccacia with Chipotle Mayonnaise which he gave me a bite of and I will be getting that baby next time, it was very good. DH had the Rotisserie Chicken Plate which he said was just OK, the chicken was dry.
Yorkshire County Fish Shop - This was our first time trying this and were pleasantly surprised. We all had the Fish & Chips and thought it was pretty good!!
MGM - As everyone knows the choices here suck! The only thing I eat here is the Grilled Turkey & Cheese with arugula and red peppers at Backlot Express, it's really good. DH & I both had this along with the Strawberry Parfait which wasn't memorable:
AK - We've always gone to Tusker House so we had to decide between Yak & Yeti or Flametree. I got outvoted on this one and they are still hearing about it.
Flametree BBQ won....DS & I both got the Pork Sandwich, I subbed coleslaw for the baked beans. We both agreed this was terrible. The sandwich was cold and dry, even adding BBQ sauce to it didn't help much. The coleslaw was OK. We got the Key Lime Pie and Frozen lemonades for dessert which were good:
DH had the 1/2 Slab of St. Louis Ribs which were not very good either. They were very dry and had very little flavor:
The clear winner here was DS's GF order of Smoked 1/2 Chicken. This was the only thing that was served hot and it was very moist and flavorful. She enjoyed the baked beans as well:
Well folks that wraps up my review. I hope I was able to help someone in deciding on where to go or what to eat. If nothing else, it's been great fun and I've met some great new friends here!
