Candlelight Processional

Is anyone planning on going to the Candlelight Processional before or after the cruise?

I would love to see Whoppi. I know it will be packed so I was going to go with the Dinner package at Tutto Italia.

Has anyone seen Whoppi and Dined at Tutto? Last year I did Chefs and Andy Garcia and loved it!

There is rumor that the packages will be available tomorrow.....

I would love to see Whoopi as well. But I think we are planning on a different restaurant, by request. And we don't want to make the Jinx angry.....

I love Chefs and may go there. I have not been to Tutto, that is why I asked if anyone had experence dining there. When I look at the menu Tutto looked over priced ala cart. On the CP package, last year you got 3 courses off the menu. Tutto looked ok to try with a set price.

We did it when it was still Alfredo's for the CP. The food was OK- the dinner was VERY rushed.
I have read similar reviews in recent years since the name change to Tutto- and since we eat Italian all the time, it doesn't hold any special interest for us. (where I live every other restaurant is Italian- plus I am (& cook) Italian as well)
Chefs was relaxed and yummy- even with the CP timing.

I think it would be fun to get a table of DISers together for the CP this year.

I have a reservations at Chefs de France on Saturday December 11 at 5:20. I am looking for three people to join me.

The dinner comes with standing room at the American Adventure. I am sure Whoopi's voice will carry magnificiently!

We are planning to do the 10th also, thinking about lunch so that I can head over to dhs for osbourne lights too.

We hope to see the Osborne Lights on the 9th... so much to do and so little time.

We want to wait until it's dark for the Candlelight Processional so our first choice is the 6:45 show.

Is anyone else interested in doing Chefs on Dec 10th for the 6:45 showing of Candlelight? I imagine the ADR would have to be for around 4:00 or 4:30?
(I preferred when you could dine after CP)

How strong is the rumor about the reservations opening tomorrow? There is no mention of anything (at least that I can find) online.
Food & Wine reservations open tomorrow- I guess I'd be surprised if CP opened on the same day.
I do remember a couple years ago having to call while we were bringing our son to college. Mid-August was when the reservations opened that year. I called from the hotel that morning!

Louise & I will be with my elderly parents (Dale & Bob) who are also going on the cruise. That said, the way I look at it the more the merrier. How big of a table should I shoot for? I’ve been checking WDW dine and online daily and was told two separate times today that they were still hearing the end of July... but that does not stop me from calling daily either

Mark- There's 2 of us (John & Linda). But I wonder if you'd want to get a table for 8 or 10 maybe? And scale it down as we get closer if no one else joins in?

Sounds good. I'll first ask for a table for 10... if no I'll ask for a table of 8... if no I'll see about 2 tables for 4.

I'll let you know what happens when they become available. It's easy for me to check online when I get up in the morning... I'm up very early. I get to work around 6AM CT so I can call early too.

I called Disney dining tonight to make my reservation for the Wishes dessert party for 12/8. I asked when the CP packages would open up, and the CM said they were told today that they'd be released by the end of July. So she advised me to call "every other day" to check back! She obviously never met any of us DISers!!!! If Food and Wine opens tomorrow, I would imagine that the CP packages would be at least a day or two later. We're thinking of possibly waiting until after the cruise to see Thomas Gibson. Love his work!! But we're still deciding. Really, thought, anyone would be good, I think.

Disney is likely waiting for contacts to be signed by the celebs doing the presentations. We deal with it every year for our annual confrence, you'd think when you offer them cash, they'd sign - but they live in a different world.

Hi all,

Called this morning and was told the packages will be released next week. They are supposedly waiting on the final details. I asked the CM if she knew which day and all she would say is to call Monday and if that was not the day they should know then. I’ll be calling early Monday after checking their online reservations.

Still nothing from WDW. Been calling all week and now the CM are saying sometime in August... I guess nobody knows anything.
