    1900 PF breakfast

We had a 10.20 ADR last trip which was enough time after 8am EMH in MK for us to have built up an appetite and be hungry enough to do justice to the breakfast buffet.

    Advance dining reservation $ penalty?

in my experience if you can get a CM to log on and cancel an ADR for you they have the discretion of whether to waive or not. During our recent trip I cancelled Sci Fi an hour ahead of time (we just weren't hungry) and a lovely CM at Guest Services waived my fee. Another day my DH was struck...

    MICKEY WAFFLES

Cape May breakfast had it 2 weeks ago. And delicious it was too although I had it with pancakes not waffles!

    Dining Plan?

Just checked my invoice from our July / Aug trip this year - £182 per person (adult) for 2 weeks. I will say that as a historic convert to the TS DDP it was just too much food and we would definitely think twice before upgrading again. We had 6 x TS credits and 13 x QS credits left, even after...

How many days left until you leave?

Thank you! We will. it's been 5 years since out last trip and we're thrilled to be returning. Even the 13 hour journey seems do-able right now. 11.5 hours until we leave. I really should go to bed! it'll be midnight our time when we arrive tomorrow :yay: :yay::yay: :coffee:

    Best Alcoholic Beverages?

Just checked on the Port Orleans website (for research purposes only, not because I leave for POR in 12 hours...) and yes, they do!

How many days left until you leave?

those of you at WDW right now - how's the weather?

thanks both. that's a much better forecast than the BBC one so I'm sticking wit it and relying on it entirely! :P

those of you at WDW right now - how's the weather?

Any updates available? this time tomorrow we'll be airborne and I'm expecting a greater chance of rain in Florida when I arrive than in Manchester when I take off - a virtually unheard of set of circumstances!

First time on dining plan. Words of advice?

this! We stuck to our resort mugs, water fountains and drinks with meals last trip and left with tons of snack credits left over, albeit it was in the days when QS included dessert and only one snack per day. But, as we pretty much always saved the dessert for later, maybe it won't be so...

    Not so "FREE" Dining

My thoughts exactly! I love the relative peace of a TS at either lunchtime or dinner time. The air con is also appreciated as we're tied to visiting in July / August (4.5 days until we're due at the airport :flower1::flower1:)And with two teen girls, one who loves to graze, one who would eat her...

    "Fancy" dinner for unsophisticated palate?

This is a brilliant idea. We did it for our 10th anniversary back in 2002. You choose your own menu from lots of options and can order different things from each other. We had dinner on a private balcony facing MK and sipped cocktails while Wishes played :-) You can dress however you want and...

    Recommendations for first-timers? Underrated restaurants?

another shout for Wave, definitely under-rated. the buffets are also better than we expected, particularly Tusker House and Park Fare. I love the resort counter service more than the parks. POR (Riverside Mill?) do an amazing build your own salad which is absolutely a full meal in itself!

Served alcohol at the parks without being asked for ID

I'm 43, (the username is a clue) and I've never been carded in WDW but I do remember my first trip to Orlando in 1992 when I was 18 and my brother 16. The age for alcohol in the UK is 18 and that's relaxed if you are with parents / responsible adults or having a glass of wine with food. My 51...

**Official** Star Wars at DHS, Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party/Galactic Nights/Launch Bay/JT

:mad::mad: One task. I gave my Star Wars mad DH one task to do pre-Disney - get something for Star Wars obsessed DD aged 11 to trade with the Jawas (are they called that?) Tonight I asked him what he'd arranged as we leave the UK for Orlando on Thursday and he stared at me blankly. So...

$200 gift card loaded onto MB?

We booked direct with the $200 gift card but have a voucher to take to DS for our card. VH rep or DS sounds more likely than MB.
