"Greedflation" at Disney?

yes and before Disney offered dining plans they didn't cost anything, the absurdity of this is outrageous and someone needs to pay us back for our VACATION that we chose to take knowing full well what the cost was

yeah thats comical. I'm not asking for anyone to pay anything back.

But these reasons are why we've cut back on our disney experiences.

I get it, we're all disney die hards here, but its ok to have take issue with some things disney does,

Not things, specifically pricing at the end of the day. If the price is outweighing the value you do not have to go (obviously) just accept the fact that there is another person willing to take your place, which is why they can charge the prices they're asking for.

They aren't taking action against you the individual, they are making a business decision, and the sooner everyone can see that the sooner feelings won't be so hurt

oh i agree its different..thats part of the problem. their replacement for french toast was the pudding. replacing one item with something with less "value".

but i can tell you, that if i was there right now, i could make reservations for dinner tonight at some places like

California Grill
Chef Mickey's
Garden Grill
Narcoosees
and a bunch of other places

in the past, those have been hard to get day of reservations. many of those look like they have quite a few spots open tonight. Maybe i'm not the only one that has the same view on value.

Artist Point used to be my favorite restaurant, so I know how you feel. I still can't believe that popcorn is the signature dessert at that beautiful restaurant, what a disgrace.

Ate at Red Lobster the other day and a garden salad was a Premium side with a $2 upcharge. Absurd!

Disney runs projections at certain capacities with room to expand, they never expect a full park everyday of the year, so if they project idk 60% capacity and you dit h your reservation and someone else picks it up that’s a direct replacement

I would say that decision is a normal and rational response, whining about how unfair life is because of Disney is where a draw the line haha

thats whats difficult about a message board..you can read anyone's post with an inner tone, vs a normal conversation when you can pick up on the tone of the message and body language.

you're clearly the type of poster than when someone rights a post, if they dont say "in my opinion", "i can only speak for myself", or "in not all cases", you're going to pick their words apart and attempt to put words in their mouth.

maybe you're the type of person that lawyers have had to call so many things out in contracts to cover their asses with.

its perfectly ok to have a different opinion on things.

it's not just you, these boards used to be something for fans of Disney, it has become a sounding board to complain non-stop about the company. it just gets tiresome, and i wish i was the type of person who could control myself but it's getting/ is out of hand IMO

this page is full of people that love disney, most of us have that in common. I mean, 10 ft from me i have 3 or 4 disney post cards framed on our wall.

I think when people have a passion for something and love it so much, and when that passion makes it harder to enjoy, it can upset people, that's all.

Not to this level, it is NON stop on these boards, has been for over a year.

not sure what to tell you with that, people have opinions, and they come here to express them.

I'm sure we'll view this differently, but if youre seeing a lot of that, maybe thats because a lot of disney lovers are upset with how things are going.

I mean, if they're going to express those opinions anywhere, its probably going to be right here on this forum.

i believe that is called a disagreement, i'm not telling you that you need to change you're way of thinking. I just think you're wrong.

I prefer to keep others in check haha, i don't think that people with opposite views should be silenced. I just don't see a lot of people defending Disney, that's where i am trying to come from
